Rosary Vigil?

When praying the Rosary at night, should you meditate on the mysteries for that day or the next?

It seems odd to, in the Lord’s Prayer, petition God for our daily bread when the day is mostly over, and the question of the “vigil” concept being applied to other areas of spirituality had arose in my mind.
 
the day is not over until it’s over, and the needs of the day continue until the end of the day. in the OF we are praying in the present, not the future, so there is no problem. Pray whatever mysteries you want, the days suggested are suggestions not rules.
 
I’m not the most clockwork-regular Rosary prayer … but when I do pray my main concern is just to pick up wherever I left off, and not worry so much about sticking to the preprogrammed days.
