Hi, I’m new to the site so I apologize if this question gets asked a lot. I have a form of schizophrenia and find it difficult to multitask meditation on the mysteries and the prayers on the rosary. I was wondering if it would be ok for me to meditate on them after finishing my prayers. ( I just got into praying the rosary and the prayers themselves seem to help a lot)

Sometimes I pray the Rosary when I have a task with a lot of short breaks at work. I decided I would meditate on the mystery for a moment, then pray the Hail Marys “in honor of” the mystery.

It is a private devotion, so we can make a certain amount of change in order to accomodate our circumstances 🙂

Of course it would be, or to pick just one mystery and meditate on it the entire Rosary.

🙏

Thanks for that suggestion, I’m pretty sure I’d be able to pull that off. 🙏

You are welcome, I do it often, and concentrate on only one mystery or scene , often the same one. The Rosary functions to invite us to reflect on the life of Jesus and the Holy Family.

While the Mysteries are the core of the Rosary (no Mysteries, no Rosary), you do as you can, not as you can’t. It’s perfectly permissible and valid to call to mind the Mystery before beginning, ponder on it momentarily, then pray the vocal prayers. Or maintain a period of silent meditation after the vocal prayers, as you describe here.

Our Lord knows what’s in your heart and your intentions are good, so pray however you can!!
