I thought things were going very well, and that round 3 of the chemo would be starting on schedule. Well, I saw the oncologist today, and round 3 will be postponed for a week at least. I saw the oncologist today, and my platelet count is 20 where it should be 100. And my potassium level is too low, so I will be picking up a prescription for strong potassium tomorrow.

Please pray that I don’t accidentally cut or scratch myself, as I could bleed badly right now. And I will bruise more easily than usual, so klutz that I am, I ask prayers that I won’t be hurting myself in any way.

In one way I’m glad that the chemo will be delayed in order to be able to gain a bit more weight, hopefully. But I want to get it over with, too.

All here are in my prayers, and thank you, everyone who are praying for me. May God bless you all.
Praying for you my friend. Please be careful and take care…May God give you strenght and peace…

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Will continue to pray for you especially that you do not hurt yourself. And that your platelet count and potatssium levels go up

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you. For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you, especially Baptista who is undergoing her second round of chemotherapy. Please keep her from becoming so ill this time.
Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy. Amen

Baptista, I am a fairly new prayer warror but I have seen your posts often. I do not know you but, I feel feel like I do. I will be praying for you at Mass this evening also. Peace be with you my new friend. God Bless and keep you.

From “Divine Mercy In My Soul”:
  1. **Know…that your silent day-to-day martyrdom in complete submission to My Will ushers many souls into Heaven. And when it seems to you that your suffering exceeds your strength, contemplate My Wounds and you will rise above human scorn and judgment. Meditation on My Passion will help you rise above all things. **
  2. There is no way to heaven except the way of the cross. I followed it first. You must learn that it is the shortest way… I am giving you a share in those sufferings because of My special love for you and in view of the high degree of holiness I am intending for you in Heaven. A suffering soul is closer to My heart. (Jesus to suffering souls)
  3. My daughter, meditate frequently on the sufferings which I have undergone for your sake, and then nothing of what you suffer for Me will seem great to you. You please Me most when you meditate on My Sorrowful Passion. Join your little sufferings to My Sorrowful Passion, so that they may have infinite value before My majesty.
  4. I have need of your sufferings to rescue souls.
Give thanks to the Lord for your sufferings and for letting you unite them to His Passion, and offer them to Him for the salvation of souls.

Thank you so much again. I love you all, and may God bless you abundantly for sharing your prayers.

May God keep you safe and sound, and restore you to good health. You are held up in prayer.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

I am so ashamed I did not see your post. I have had my hands full with Joe’s cancer treatment (blood clot and blood in his head), bankruptcy, no job, no insurance, and then my mom’s emergency at the hospital (yada, yada, yada). BUT PLEASE KNOW THAT YOU are always in my prayers. I hold you to such a high esteem and you are so special to me. Your unfounding love for others and our God is awesome. I am praying for you VERY HARD …I love you my dear friend. Diane…sending a hug your way :hug1:

Thank you, Diane. I know you have so much on your plate, and please don’t feel bad about not seeing my post. I keep you in my prayers, also.

And thank you to everyone who prays.

The bills have been coming in, and I’m a bit nervous about some of them. The one place is great. They’re going to combine all the different bills into one small monthly payment. Another has accepted a small monthly payment. Now to get the surgeon’s office to accept a small one. And the pathologist. Even if all are small, they add up. Others that aren’t ‘big’ have had to be paid as is, and I must say God is great. He has helped me to manage thus far. For 16 years since my husband died, God has helped me. Praise His Holy Name. And thank you again for prayers. They are worth more than gold.

Jesus please help Baptista in her illness and treatment, and please help her with regards to all her medical bills. Diane too. Please help them, Jesus

Thank you Trishie, for taking the time out from your own worries to pray for others. I’m still praying for those fires and the people whose properties are threatened…and lives! God bless you.

Dear Baptista,

I have been wondering for several days just how you were doing so thought I would hunt up this prayer column again and ask you. Do you need ongoing prayer or is all alright now after the chemotherapy? I realize that you have several friends on here that you know but the only way that I can find out about you is to ask directly so that’s what I am doing! 🙂

You have been a daily intention with my rosaries, I figured that I could depend on Our Lady to take care of you!

Peace,
Linda

Dear Baptista,
Are you doing alright? A friend of mine went through that and I know just how hard it can be. Please let us know how you are!

____________

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help,
or sought thine intercession
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence,
I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother;
to thee do I come, before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen

Gracious, loving and timeless Lord, we beseech you to grant Heavenly fortitude to Baptista during this most challenging stage of her life. Thus emboldened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, may she bear up in faith to all that she is presented with during the course of her treatment. May her doctor use all available knowledge to prevent the debilitating side-effects of the treatment, prescribing carefully for her protection. May the treatments be carefully tailored to her exact condition, avoiding all unnecessary use of the toxic procedures. Again Lord, we call upon You, our Creator God, to protect and strengthen her, comforting her with Your presence, sustaining her with Your mercy and nourishing her with Your Son in the Holy Eucharist. Mercifully combine our prayers with those of the Angels and Saints to bring about a perfection of faith, and a healing of body in our sister in Christ. This we ask through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Aleluia!

Thanks to all for prayers, and thank you, Linda for your concern. I finished Round 3, and on March 9th will be starting Round 4 of chemo. That round (4 days) is the final round prescribed for now. Sometime after that I will be getting more radiation - on the brain, as that is where this cancer likes to travel when it spreads. After a brain MRI to check if it’s still clear of cancer, they will decide the amount of radiation. Then it will be hope. A scan to see how the treatments have worked. Hopefully remission.

I thank everyone here who has and is praying for me during this. I know they have helped me. While I’m still exhausted after the latest chemo, it’s not quite as bad as the first time, and the nausea is still minimal so I can eat more or less normally, if not as much.

May God bless everyone abundantly, and know that you all remain in my prayers.
