The next round of chemo starts in two days - Monday. Please pray I won’t be as sick this time. The oncologist said he’s going to try to get on top of it before it gets a start, let alone gets out of hand like last time.

I’ll be praying for all of you even when not here. And thank you for your prayers. I swear I can feel them when things are ‘getting hairy’ for me.

I am praying that you will be healed and that you won’t be nauseated.

Baptista, you’ve been battling with your health and with discomfort and pain all the time I’ve known you, but with faith and good humour, and praying for others all the while. Have you read Isiaih 52 verses 13-15 and Isaiah 53 verses 1-12, lately. These don’t only apply to Jesus, but also to those who follow His path. Note verses 11-12, the promise contained in those verses. I also applies to many of our members, like po18guy, and chronie4life, and mom4truth and others, and also to those suffering emotionally like Diane, as well.

But I ask the Lord to give you an easier time this time around.
St (Padre) Pio suffered continually for souls and was known to say—“If you knew the value of suffering, you would never give it up.” Nevertheless, he prayed for healing for others, and advised anyone in their difficulties to seek divine assistance. “It is not a loss of patience if one asks Jesus to take away pain, when this becomes insupportable to us and beyond our strength, nor does one lose the merit of the suffering which is offered, by asking this of God.”
“Pray that God will console you when you feel the burden of the Cross, for in doing so you are not acting against the will of God, but you are placing yourself beside the Son of God who asked His Father during the Agony in the Garden to send Him some relief. But if He is not willing to give it, be ready to pronounce the same ‘fiat’ that Jesus did.” “When least you are expecting to be liberated, Jesus, who cannot bear to keep you long in affliction, will come and relieve and comfort you, giving you new courage.”

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary, Mother of God
pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Dear Baptista, my heart goes out to you in this situation! I had a very dear friend that went through this also and it can be an absolute nightmare. Anyone that hasn’t faced anything like this really has no idea of the depth of the suffering!

Please know, though, that I will be adding you to my rosaries! Padre Pio believed in Our Lady’s “weapon,” and so do I! May Our Lord give you the strength that you need to keep putting one foot in front of another,…the comfort that will allow you to have respite from your suffering, and the courage to have hope in Our Lord’s plans for you! Remember in Jeremiah 29, it says:

11. For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart,…

And last but not least I will leave you with my favorite prayer from Our Lady:

____________________

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known
that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help,
or sought thine intercession
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence,
I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother;
to thee do I come, before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen

Ah, no Trishie. I can see these words applying to others, but not to me. I’m not worthy enough, and I truly mean that, I’m not just being modest. I just want to end up in a little corner of Heaven, if it’s God’s Will, when my time here is over, and after a long stay in Purgatory, I’m sure. Just put me in the background where I can see God and Jesus and Mary and all the angels and saints. If I could be near to Jesus once in awhile, that would be so awesome, I can’t even imagine it. Well…yes, I DO imagine it when praying, but in reality, I’m just not worthy.
But I ask the Lord to give you an easier time this time around.

Prayers promised. I will dedicate today’s Divine Mercy Chaplet to you.

Thank you all so much again. So far so good with the nausea. I’m very tired, but that’s to be expected. Tomorrow will be day 3 of round 2, then the next day I just get a shot to help build my blood back up. And today’s radiation treatment seemed to go by so fast. Prayers. All due to prayers. So I thank you all, and God bless you.

Loving God,

Your love and mercy are endless and your plan is divine. Please comfort Baptista during these very challenging treatements and bless the doctors and care givers who assist Baptista. Please send your healing spirit and love as Baptista carries the Cross for you during this time and join Baptista’s sufferings with the suffering your son Jesus endured for all your people.

Through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
