Thank you all so much again. Everyone here is so wonderful, and the prayers are helping. Today the nausea started, but I took the compazine. The only thing is that messes with my eyesight, so I have a hard time reading. And along with all my other meds, it makes me even more tired. So I’m just asking for prayers that I won’t get as sick as last time. I don’t want to have to go back in the hospital. And another prayer, please for the pain in my esophagus from the radiation burn. It makes it hard to eat. They gave me med to numb it, but it only works for about 15 minutes, and I’m a slow eater. Today it has seemed better, and I’m definitely sure it’s due to prayer.

God bless everyone here, and you are all in my prayers.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen

Dear Baptista,

I will continue to pray for you during my day when I pray my rosaries! And I will specifically pray for you not to be so sick to your stomach!

I will also pray that it will be easier for you to swallow! I know I am new here, but I am with you in this! Anything more that you need for us to pray for, please let us know, because from what I read here you have quite a group of people that are supporting you in prayer and with spoken words!

When things are hardest; may God reach in and hold you in the hollow of His hands!!!

Linda

Praying for your healing. And for the strength for you to go through this second round of chemo minus the nausea and side effects.

Having a rough couple days here, so I’m asking for more prayer for the nausea and exhaustion. It’s hard for me to do for myself, and this is making it worse.

And I do thank you all for your prayers, and ask God to bless you. I pray for everyone here every day and night. God bless you all.

Loving God,

Your love and mercy are endless and your plan is divine. Please comfort Baptista during these very challenging treatements and bless the doctors and care givers who assist Baptista. Please send your healing spirit and love as Baptista carries the Cross for you during this time and join Baptista’s sufferings with the suffering your son Jesus endured for all your people. Please help Baptista with the nausea and exhaustion and give Baptista peace and hope as the treatments and side effects continue.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary, Mother of God
pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Dear Baptista,

I’m going to begin fasting for you tomorrow! I will be praying and fasting specifically for your nausua and your exhaustion! You didn’t say anything about your swallowing but just in case I will add that to my prayers. Jesus told us that some things were so difficult that it took fasting along with the praying to accomplish it; so I am trusting that He will reach down with healing in His hands and touch you! He says that He wishes to give us a future and a hope and I am going to be claiming that for sure! Hang in there, Kiddo! We are still out here praying!

that never was it known
that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help,
or sought thine intercession
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence,
I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother;
to thee do I come, before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen

Still praying for you, Baptista, but wondering how you are doing? Has anyone heard yet? I had to go looking for this post so no one has posted lately. Anyway, I am still praying and I know others are too!

Thank you so much for fasting for me, DesertSister. God surely blesses your generosity of heart! I’m sorry I didn’t update sooner. I have been able to eat all weekend, and today without getting sick. I had to take compazine a few tiimes, but nothing major. I even managed to gain 2 pounds since last Thursday, unless the scale was off. I truly believe prayer is seeing me through all of this.

I see the oncologist tomorrow after my radiation treatment, and I’m fairly sure I’m ‘in shape’ for round three of the chemo to start next Monday, the 9th.

God bless everyone for your continued prayer for me. I am still remembering all here in my prayers.

I don’t know what happened to what I posted after quoting you, DesertSister, but I’ll try to post separately.

I thanked you for fasting for me. That is so generous, and I am sure God blesses you abundantly for your charity!

I am sorry I haven’t updated before now. I’ve been able to eat without getting sick since Friday. And I even managed to gain 2 pounds since last Thursdays weigh-in. I did have to take Compazine , but not often and it was wonderful to eat ‘real’ food and more than a small amount.

I am still remembering all here in my prayers. And I thank you all for your continuing prayers for me. I know they are helping.

I’m continuing to pray for you.You are a great example of Love,Patience and Faith.May our Lord be with you.Rocky.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Dear Baptista,

I haven’t posted here in so long and tonight yours was the first post I saw - so I prayed for you. It’s so hard to feel one is alone, especially as we suffer. But our Dear Lord does want our suffering given to him and for us to be comforted. I was cheered to read your last report - may His Divine Mercy and Grace envelop you and give you good health. Your soul shines.

God bless,

Romick

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.

For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.
(Baptista)

Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.
Amen.

I thought things were going very well, and that round 3 of the chemo would be starting on schedule. Well, I saw the oncologist today, and round 3 will be postponed for a week at least. I saw the oncologist today, and my platelet count is 20 where it should be 100. And my potassium level is too low, so I will be picking up a prescription for strong potassium tomorrow.

Please pray that I don’t accidentally cut or scratch myself, as I could bleed badly right now. And I will bruise more easily than usual, so klutz that I am, I ask prayers that I won’t be hurting myself in any way.

In one way I’m glad that the chemo will be delayed in order to be able to gain a bit more weight, hopefully. But I want to get it over with, too.

All here are in my prayers, and thank you, everyone who are praying for me. May God bless you all.

Oh Baptista, tears came into my eyes for you. Dear brave girl, I ask the Lord to cherish you in alll things.
Love, Trishie
