‘Hi, It’s Navalny’: Kremlin Critic Says He Can Breathe Unaided in First Statement After Poisoning

Navalny is pictured on a hospital bed surrounded by his wife and two children.
Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny said Tuesday that he is able to breathe on his own, his first public message since he fell into a coma after being poisoned by Novichok last month.

Navalny’s Instagram post shows him sitting hunched over on a hospital bed surrounded by his wife and two children. The Russian opposition leader has been undergoing treatment in Berlin, where German officials say there is “unequivocal proof” he was poisoned by a type of Novichok nerve agent.

“I can still hardly do anything but yesterday I was able to breathe on my own all day,” Navalny, 44, wrote.
From Radio Free Europe:

Thank goodness, for the most part, he’s okay. he’s mainly an “anti-corruption” activist from what I gather. He even wanted the fate of Crimea decided on an honest free election, so that isn’t a most lenient choice.

But back to the poisoning from Novochok, I mean I am sure it must feel like your whole body is torn apart.

Early reports indicate, perhaps the "Novichok’ was found on the plastic water bottle in the hotel room of Navalny. Of course, the story can change a dozen times, this is just reporting. So, how did they get the bottle? His accompanying team went up to his hotel room, I’d be afraid to even touch very much without gloves. I think people have been poisoned with this stuff just wiping it on doorknobs.

Traces of poison were found on a bottle of water from the hotel room in Siberia where Alexey Navalny stayed before falling ill, the Russian opposition politician’s team said on Instagram Thursday.

The Kremlin critic’s team initially thought he was poisoned after drinking tea in Tomsk airport before boarding a return flight to Moscow.

As soon as Navalny fell ill, his team on the ground said they "called a lawyer, went up to the room that Navalny had just left, and began recording, describing, and packing everything they found there. In particular the bottles of hotel water."
Very sinister.
