Well, the thread drift is unfortunate, but it is the result of your post #115 saying doubt and seeking understanding are the same. Thats where all of this doubt discussion really started. I thought that point was very wrong and it needed to be addressed (somehow I just don’t see Thomas Aquinas doubting his entire adult life). To the OP, I apologize.

This sure sounds like the Pope is exhorting more careful marriage preparation, to stem the “vicious circle” of too many annulments. Reading through his address, I don’t see anything that relates specifically to cohabitation issues. Just that more attention to juridical (judgement calls) need to be addressed. Not everyone has a “right to marry”.
