People using their cell phones to pray. 😫😱
Oops. I am guilty of this one. I do make sure to not disturb anyone with the screen light neither sounds though. Is there anything in particular you mind about this? Mostly asking because I do it, and if I am disturbing to others in any way I should fix that.

Nevermind, I should have read entire thread. I thought it would be under replies. Thanks for the insight, I understand vibrations are disturbing.

This during Mass
This happened to me only once in my life… but in very bad situation at that. I was assisting at Parish event for kids. So… children were told to turn off their phones and Priest plus me and my colleagues were accompanying them to Mass. No one else was present. Me and around 10 other small boys altar serving. I jokingly told them that now I am finally oldest altar server present while not being only one, and as such hold primacy. They started jokingly reminding me they have already been altar serving before I even started attending Mass. Was all in friendly attitude and I admitted defeat.

However, I was a bit careless and while I did remind them to turn their phones off… I did not turn off mine… and it went off… while I was near the altar… during Consecration at that. Priest kinda laughed it off later and said it happens and I should be more careful, but kids did make sure I never make that mistake again…

And now everytime I go to Mass I turn my phone to silent mode and then turn it off. Double security. When I altar serve I also leave it in the sacristy. Mistakes make us learn.

I wouldn’t worry over which knee…many of us over 45 or 50 only have one good one. I have to enter and exit pews standing to the right because I can only genuflect in a certain way on my good knee and have to grab the pew with my left hand to avoid falling over.

I’m being a bit silly here, but serious point is that I’m not alone in this sort of limitation.

I was always taught the right knee by the nuns, but I’m certain that any knee is okay if you have a problem with your right knee … or just bowing is okay if you have problems with both knees … the Lord knows our limitations.

Our priest told us to do that. If there those cannot, it’s okay according to what he said.
It is also okay for those that can and simply do not do it.

Because it is not required.
Thank you maryjk. But I fear it is never going to be acknowledged by some.
