Fasting: All Catholics 18-59 years of age when health or ability to work would not be seriously affected are obligated. They may take only one full meal during the entire day; with two smaller meals permitted when necessary. No eating between meals.
Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of Fast and abstinence.
All Fridays during Lent are days of Abstinence.
