I am not sure exactly to what you refer.

Church writings you can access here: vatican.va/

Are you referring to Pope JPII’s Fides et Ratio?

Here is a list of fallacies:

I’m not sure the Church specifically has rules of reason. Theologians accept and use rules of reason from philosophical intellectual traditions. Reason falls in the realm of human activity. It is made possible because God is ordered and rational, and He instills Creation with His order and reason. However, specific rules of reason are not a matter of Divine Revelation.

That said, I have found a great help for rules of reason. The Critical Thinking Community has pamplets and resources on intellectual virtues and intellectual standards that are a modern version of the traditional rules of reason and logic. I would also recommend a class from The Teaching Company called “Argumentation” taught by David Zarefsky. It offers a great set of rules for “informal” reasoning. Finally, I think there are a number of home school resources on formal logic. Hopefully somebody will recommend those for you, as I am only vaguely familiar with them.http://www.teach12.com/store/professor.asp?ID=60&d=David+Zarefsky

Are you referring to “right reason” in the context of moral reasoning?

If so, you can find it in St. Thomas Aquinas’ Summa Theologiae.
