Essentially put, Fred Phelps, author of the awful “God Hates Fags” website, runs from Pastafarians:

What do you do to make a bunch of soulless nutcases abandon their post at the Convention Center? Send in the pirates!

Yep, the cuckoo Phelps hate group walked the plank this morning after a happy bunch dressed like pirates and holding signs saying “God hates shrimp – Leviticus” and “God hates cotton-polyester blends” stood opposite them at the corner of Markham and Scott streets. The group, made up of Central Arkansas Pastafarians, waved swords and growled “Arrghh!” in a manner that would have made Abbie Hoffman proud.

I think this is very funny, because it’s people like Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church who gives Christians a bad name with their deplorable behavior.

“Pastafarians” are a group of tongue-in-cheek (probably a couple of guys) who created the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster to parody aspects of religion.

The connection to pirates is beyond my understanding, but they have a chart which proves that “Global warming” is caused by the decrease in the number of Pirates worldwide.

Their interaction with the Phelps clan is a perfect match; parody of bizarre religious zealotry. The only sad thing is that the Phelps’ WBC take what they do quite seriously, and methinks there is some serious inbreeding and/or mental illness present amongst the members.

They (WBC) used to get me angry, now I feed sorry for them.

Actually I feel sorry for them, some of the Phelp’s kids, they are TOTALLY brainwashed, there are indications of mental abuse. Sad stuff. Hate and anger breeding more hate and anger, stuff like that snowballs.

Exactomundo. I wonder how effective they could be if they put that kind of effort into preaching the true Gospel…I remember reading about a guy that happend to a long time ago…by the name of Saul.
