He’s just highlighting the twisted logic of pro-abortionists.

I guess he would defend hmself by saying “well, those fetuses that are aborted are aborted before they are considered human beings----so they are not human beings, you know.”

I ultimately agree though, that his logic is VERY contradictory, at the very least.

Given that they were contradictory, maybe he was drunk. Still unfortunate.
LOL.

Yeah, that was my first thought about “late nite”. Perhaps an overfamiliarity with the juice of the barley?

I read somewhere that he had his kid(s?) baptzed, even though he has no public religious affiliation. He also responded in the affirmative when asked, on “The Actor’s Studio” by James Lipton, what he would say to God. The question is asked, “IF there is a God, what would you like him to say to you?” or something similar.

As I recall, Crowe responded something like “Oh, there is a God…” and went on to answer the question.

My take on Crowe is that he’s a somewhat conservative fellow who has some religious leanings, as well as a seeming inability to control his profanity. 🤷

…and not much of of a theologian.

Australian press reports Crowe was twittering with a good friend, fellow actor Eli Roth, who is a Jew. Roth has defended Crowe. It seems Crowe’s stupidity was in trying to banter with a friend on a public forum. Some people are slow learners.

I like Crowe as an actor, but methinks he’s not terribly bright, especially about how the media works and how one has to watch what one says or writes in the public arena. Still, there’s hope. 😃

It also might be a case of hubris. He seems to think he can say whatever he likes, even on an open forum. The public outcry has surely brought him back to earth. Hard way to learn some humility, eh what?! 😃

We can do some embarrassing things when we’re drunk, and it’s worse when you’re famous. Probably never know whether he was or not…-It’s good he got his kids baptized!🙂

Wow! Another irritating and obnoxious actor who can’t shut the heck up about politics.

Thank God we have Russell Crowe-a true hero who can tell all of us dummies how to think.

Gag me. Sure, he has a right to say whatever he wants-but we do to.

Actors shooting their mouths off is a big reason I don’t watch movies anymore.

Who is Russell Crowe?
You ever seen “Gladiator?” Won an Oscar for that one some years ago.

Famous for his hotheaded, violent behavior towards fans, the press and hotel desk clerks. 😃

That’s basically what you need to know. 👍

The problem isn’t with his ignorance of the way public forums operate, but in his lack of moral ignorance.

If Crowe lacks moral ignorance, then he must have at least some moral knowledge. Does that mean you support his Twitter tweats?

Or is it the case that ‘some moral knowledge’ is not enough to allow someone to arrive at sound moral conclusions?

He’s also got or used to have a band “Forty foot of grunts” (or feet), and is…not exactly… a great vocalist. But his band did have its fans.

INterestingly, one of his Oscar speeches was rated as being among the most intellectual given that year. I actually think he is fairly bright, but actors are bright like actors, not moral theologians. Especially when they are tipsy.

I’ve heard of it…but to be honest, I’ve never really gone for the whole “actors who are also rock singers” thing.:o

Favorite Russell Crowe moment------some years ago, he got drunk and punched a man in a bar talking to a woman for no reason at all. Funny thing is, the woman ended putting him in a HEAD LOCK umtil he calmed down. Embarassing…😛 Don’t know how he can ever live that one down.
