Russian opposition leader Navalny poisoned: Spokeswoman

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny is unconscious and in intensive care in hospital after apparently being poisoned, according to his spokeswoman.

Kira Yarmysh said on Thursday that Navalny was flying from Siberia to Moscow when his plane made an emergency landing after he fell ill.

“Alexei has toxic poisoning,” she wrote on Twitter. “Alexei is now in intensive care.”

Russians getting poisoned seem to be habitual.

Maybe it’s something in the water. Fallout from Chernobyl?

I’d never pardon Putin for anything like this but listening and reading the news, it sounds like Navalny had a few enemies because he exposed corruption.

Some good references, Russian Press that is not headquartered in Russia, they do have reporters there though, I think one of them has been in jail, Meduza, located in the Baltics, that means countries like Latvia, Estonia or Lithuania:

In Russia with some independence and I mean “some”, I believe they had a story yanked that was reporting on voting irregularities, The Moscow Times: :

As always Radio Free Europe:

Of course, the list goes on, BBC, Voice of America but al Jazeera is pretty sharp, as always, compare to other reporting on sensitive subjects:

Yes, it sounds like Navalny is being evacuated to Germany and he is in my prayers to recover.

Well, Navalny may have had NO enemies but Senator Marco Rubio:

“Over the last 16 years over 30 Russian dissidents, defectors & political opponents of Putin have wound up poisoned, falling out of windows or victims of bombings,” the Florida Republican tweeted Friday. “So let [there] be no doubt who poisoned Navalny,” he added, alluding to a Putin-linked actor but stopped short of mentioning anyone by name.
Rubio has actually been sanctioned by China and Venezuela, meaning, he can not go to some of these countries. I am unsure about Russia.
