You’re not supposed to work for more than 2 hours on Sundays unless you need too, yet the Knights of Columbus that I sometimes volunteer for need to work for 2 hours to set up a (probably unnecessary) meeting on Sunday. Am I missing something about the Sabbath commandment or do you think it is more likely that the meeting is needful?
 
Setting up a meeting, for a group that actively supports the Church, is NOT work.

Many people actually work for wages on Sunday. This is NOT a sin, if it is necessary to support their families, or is work that simply can not be stopped because it is the Sabbath.

I was an Army Medic for almost 10 years. I worked on many Sundays. Was I supposed to abandon my patients? Was I supposed to leave a wounded man in the field because it was Sunday?

Please show me anywhere in the Bible where any specific number of hours is mentioned. Or anywhere in the Roman Catholic rules and regulations?

If you farm, animals have to be fed, manure has to be cleaned from stalls, etc. If you are a police officer, you can’t refuse to protect the public because it is Sunday.

You are being overly scrupulous.

Sorry, an “Examination of Conscience” said, don’t work for “several hours” the “2” I think I got as a specific suggestion.
