I feel as though I cannot breathe!!!
Sister pulled me aside after RCIA this morning and asked me if I’d received anything from the Tribunal yet. I haven’t, and she then informed me that my annulment is DONE! Apparently my ex was not free to marry me, and the annulment was granted based on that Ligamen. This means that my precious husband of 14 years and I may have our marriage convalidated after the Easter Vigil.
I am so happy, but I can’t bring myself to actually show it because I haven’t yet seen the decision from the Tribunal for myself. I feel like my heart is going to burst out of my chest - I am eligible to receive the Sacraments, and that is so overwhelmingly joyous news! I wish I could let it all out, but I’m so afraid that Sister has made a mistake or that she has me confused with someone else. Deep down I know that’s not the case, but I will feel so much better when I see it with my own eyes.
I wish people understood what marriage truly means, and that they would take so much more care before making that committment to one another and to God. I feel such happiness for those who have done it the “right” way, and I will continue praying for those who are trying to make it right.
I am so ready to jump and swim!!! :extrahappy:
