Sacrament of Marriage With One Not Being Catholic

They’re having the Mass. The decision has been made and we have been told the subject is not to be discussed again.

Mixed blessing? With so many people stepping around the marriage rules or having civil marriages, perhaps you should be happy that they are getting married in the Catholic Church, and with a Mass. It doesn’t sound like they are worried about it being awkward for some. It really is there day and if they want to have a Mass…so be it. I would think the groom could receive a blessing on that one special day, especially since he is allowing her to follow her faith.

Well, the wedding isn’t until next May. He has time to go through RCIA.
