My Dear friends in Christ,
I recently entered into a contest for the Archdiocese of New York. It is an initiative taken by the Diocese of Rockville Center, Diocese of Brooklyn, and the Archdiocese of New York in order to get all Catholics to return to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This contest however, specifically targets teens and young adults. The contest calls for people to create a promotional video geared towards teens and young adults. The first place winner would receive $50,000 where half goes to the video creator and the other to his/her Parish or Catholic School of choice. I have chosen to not take any of the money. The $25,000 that would go to a Parish will be used to send teens that cannot afford to go to World Youth Day in Spain this coming August. The other $25,000 will go into a young adult ministry being started in the Archdiocese of NY of which I am a part of.
I would ask that everyone take some time and watch my video. The videos are judged on a) orthodoxy, b) artistic quality, and c) number of YouTube hits. Please visit youtube.com/watch?v=Bo35pxTCi8s.
