So when Augustine said that the disposition of the recipient is irrelevant to the reception of grace, did he mean that the same amount of actual grace is given no matter what? Does the disposition of the recipient only affect the amount of sanctifying grace given? Is sanctifying grace what determines the fruitfulness of the sacrament?
