Sacramentals Being Blessed At Shrine?

I go to this awesome shrine every year with family and they have an awesome gift store. I always end up getting some sort of sacramental and my family member said everything in the store is already blessed?Is this true? How could this be?Thanks!
 
My understanding is, if something is sold, it is no longer “blessed”. I’m sure there are fancier words but I don’t know them!! 🙂

That’s correct. And selling blessed items is simony, I doubt (or at least I hope not) the shrine is doing that.

Either way, get them blessed after you buy them. An item loses it’s blessing when it’s sold.
 
This summer, we asked a priest who is a member of the order that runs the shrine and he said everything in the gift shop is blessed.

Its not so much that selling a blessed item is simony but if the item being sold is sold at a higher price with the blessing than without the blessing then that would be simony because you are then paying for the blessing.

It may be true that a priest came in and blessed the store and it’s contents. They may have been trying to stave off having every visitor hunt down a priest to bless the items they purchased.

Simply take what you bought to your priest at home and ask him to bless it just as you would a sacremental bought at a different store.
 
Like someone else said, as long as they don’t say that unblessed rosaries are $10 each but if you want a blessed one then they’re $20, I don’t think there’s a real problem if a priest came in and blessed everything in the store. At our parish, our priest does one large “blessing of gifts” after the First Communion mass because there are so many kids he just wouldn’t have time to bless every single book, rosary, medal, etc. It’s kind of the same thing with the store it sounds like.
