Can someone show me where the seven sacraments are in the Bible? I heard a protestant say that they are all not in there, that they are mentioned but not as sacraments…any help would be nice:)

So, if they don’t call Baptism a sacrament that means Baptism is not a sacrament, or that they don’t see Baptism in the bible?

???

Which sacrament don’t they believe in? There are only seven of them. Jeez. Not a lot of them to start with.
 
They said the only ones in the Bible are Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, but they dont view the Lord’s Supper in the same way as us because they deny the reality of transubstantiation…

Wow. They sure want the really stripped down version don’t they?

Well, that leaves the five remaining. I’m gonna guess the next big one they don’t like is Holy Orders because “they are all holy, and annointed” or some such thing. Or all believers are saints?
So, that knocks out another- confession to priest…
They dont view marriage as a sacrament!!!:eek:

Look, ask the guy if he really believes that it’s not, have him whisper in his bride to be’s ear right before they exchange vows “even though this isn’t a holy sacrament… I do”

It’s one thing to say it isn’t to you, but have him step to the plate and prove it will wash in THAT setting.

You could end up spending hours giving the best arguments for all of them, and you know what? I bet it’s all about resenting authority (pope)
 
Jesus gives the Apostles the authority to forgive sins in His name in John 20:20-23.

In James, 5:14-15, we have the anointing of the sick.

Jesus makes marriage holy in Matthew 10 -7 For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother (and be joined to his wife),*** 8 ****** and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh.****** 9 ****** Therefore what God has joined together*, no human being must separate.**

We see Confirmation in Acts when the Apostles lay their hands on the Samaritans and on several other groups and only then do they receive the Holy Spirit.

And we see the Apostles laying their hands on others and then assigning them to go preach the Gospel. This is Holy Orders.
 
Try discussing what Jesus says in John, chapter 6, where He discusses the Eucharist in specific terms that are hard to deny.
