So, the question is apparent from the topic title: is the devotion to the Sacred Heart aimed at a created or an uncreated attribute of Jesus?

If it is the Divine and uncreated attribute, is there a significant difference between this devotion and the Divine Mercy devotion?

If it is the Human and created attribute, do we worship or venerate it?

It is worshiped with latria…adoration. The premise rests upon the theology of the hypostatic union. It is the same principle by which we worship the Holy Wounds of Jesus, the Precious Blood of Jesus, the Holy Face of Jesus, and so forth. All the aspects of the assumed human nature are hypostatically united to the Divine Person who assumed them…the Second Person of the Trinity…the Logos.
