Are you saying that you believe every creature that ever existed (such as flies, worms, cocroaches, lizards, jakyl, brontosaurus, tyranasaurus, cow, wildebeest, ect.) Will be resurrected?

Why does everyone on this board have to go to such extremes!?
I won’t speak for peebo, but I doubt this is what was meant.
I have 3 cats that I have raised, by hand, since they were 5 days old. They are 5 years old now. I don’t see any harm in believing that when I die, if I make it to heaven, that my “beasties” will be there waiting for me.
Some people on this forum really need to relax a little bit. :bigyikes:

Relax or agree with you? I asked peebo a question. Why did you not answer my question? Is it extreme to believe that if our pets will be resurrected, so will other animals? Or is it more extreme to believe only the animals we like will be resurrected? And how do you arrive at this conclusion? I love God’s creatures, because they reveal some of his amazing personality and character. They are awsome. But just because a dog has more social characteristics that I can relate to, and enjoys my companionship, that does not mean they are more significant to humanity than, say the spider or bee. Many creatures play a huge role in maintaining the ecosystem around us.
Do I think the dog is more noble than most animals? Yes. So is the dolphin, Orca, elephant, monkey, ect.

The Church has NEVER taught that animals have an immortal soul ! The awesomeness of being with God will overpower all. If we need our doggies there to make us happy, then I’m afraid something would be amiss. God Bless, MemawWhy does everyone on this board have to go to such extremes!?

I know this!!!
But, what harm is there in thinking that my beloved beasties will be with me. They make me happy more than most people.
I understand now why so many people are leaving these forums.
I know my theology, I know what the Church teaches, and I also know that with God all things are possible and that He does not need our “rules”. The rules are for us, NOT HIM!!
I have a feeling, if/when we make it to heaven, many of us are going to be surprised to see who is sharing it with us!

Personally, IF Pope Francis actually believes that our pets (or any animal) will be resurrected and live in heaven, I am kinda embarrassed.

I have no problem with people disagreeing with me. It is the reductio ad absurdum arguements I have problems with.
