When and where is it first mentioned?I can’t think of any teaching in the scriptures where this is said. Do you have a reference? Who did this apply to? How are we as individuals to apply this to ourselves? If we aren’t scholars, should we? Aren’t you mixing up personal errors or non-dogmatic errors with formal dogmatic doctrinal decrees when you say that? If he was a protestant could he still be a cathjlic scholar? Are catholic scholars infalliable under the papal infallibility act of 33.AD? Where is that said in scriptures? 🤷 I am not sure what you are asking can you clarify?
 
anybody know if there are any good books, web sites,etc on sacred tradition? Because it still seems amorphous to me

Karl Keating : Catholicism and Fundamentalism. Chapter 10. It’s an easy to read and all round great book for non catholics to get to grips with the REAL catholic position on fundamental issues.

One never knows though…maybe, and with the help of the Holy Spirit…a light may go on, and things may get through…and the Truth will set them free… Afterall, did not Christ Himself say that?

And well they should question. The scriptures warn of false teachers in the church who will decieve many. That is why you should hold your church accountable to what the scriptures teach. When you study the marian doctrines in light of the scriptures you will find that the support is not there.

What you must do is be on guard against false teachers in your own church. The scriptures do warn of** false teachers in the church itself**. There was no promise given by Christ that this would not happen.

I do agree there is a lot that can be grasped. However, we see where the departure from the Apostolic Tradition has spawned all kinds of divisions.

What happens when it is separated from the Sacred tradition that produced it is that it cannot be understood with the right mindset. This then causes departures from orthodox Apostolic Teaching.

St. Peter agrees that you have to have the right mindset because he says, “There are certain things in the letters of our beloved brother Paul that are hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable wrest to their own destruction, as they do the rest of the scriptures.”

Therefore, if you are untaught, that is not acquainted with the traditions taught by the apostles, you will very probably twist the scriptures to your own destruction. That is an awful chance to take.
Or, if you are unstable, with “itchy ears”, easily pushed out of position, away from the apostilic teaching and the right mindset, you too, can twist the scriptures.

The Ethiopian eunuch also knew this–he was honest enough to admit, “How can I understand, unless someone guides me?”

I have been praying on what we could do about JustAsking4. How to effectively deal with them. The answer came to me while praying the rosary. We have to pray a Hail Mary for JustAsking4!

I have been on many of the threads that JustAsking4 goes to and have asked all Catholics to Pray one Hail Mary Daily for JustAsking4. I really believe that that one simple prayer with Mary’s assistance can soften their hearts. We know they know of Jesus and the Bible, but they have no faith, they do not know Jesus.

Have you read Robert Aziz’s “C. G. Jung’s Psychology of Religion and Synchronicity” He entered the fray from the vantage-point of synchronicity, and discussed Jung’s psychology of religion.**

500 years ago, There was a movement against the 1,500 year old church which admittedly was in need of correction from the HS. But,instead of just fixing the CC, the Devil saw this as an opportunity ot steal away many souls from Jesus.

Since that time, in only 500 years, 30,000 counterfeit denominations, having 28,000 imitation sub denominations practicing 1,375 different docutrines and with conflicting dogmas have emerged not to save souls but to attack God’s real church.
We aren’t worried, we have been assured! “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matt 16:18.

Jesus is the head of one real church that is 2,000 years old. Anything that came after that are the ones warned about in the bible that JustAsking4 keeps trying to warn us about. He is 500 years late! And their poor souls were caught in the devil’s trap! Remember to pray one Hail mary for JustAsking4 daily!

I accept all prayers. Jesus, Mary and the Saints all hear them and transmit them to The Father.

I could bet you that the ones that say the Catholic Church isn’t the real church are all blinded by the devil and weren’t around before 1517AD.

I guess we will only know the truth at Judgement day!

You have remained in my daily prayers and always shall and I am not joking or playing when I say that it is true and sincere!

I bet you their not…but if thats true, then your saying, if im wrong tell me, that anyone who is not a RCC member is in affect, blinded by Lucifer, correct?

I like to think of you as a friend of mine I have. We have a distinct hatred for each other, yet we were always hoping the other would be friendly one day. He moved away, but thats beside the point.

I ask Jesus to hope you be open to easier methods of sharing your library of information.
