Hebrews 13:10 - The priests who serve in the Jewish place of worship have no right ot eat any of the sacrifice on our altar.

Is the above referring to the Eucharist?

Obviously not, since Jesus specifically told his disciples to eat and drink his body and blood, and furthermore to continue to do so in his memory.

According to notes from the New American Bible, the verse we see in this translation:
We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat.
…does not refer to the Eucharist but to Christ’s sacrifice. It seems to note that priests in the Jewish faith must make a choice. They cannot serve the law of the old Covenant while participating in the aspects of the New Covenant.

The theme against holding on to Judaic practices while accepting Christianity fits the Pauline explanations found in Hebrews and other letters attributed to Paul or his students.

From Haydock commentary

*We, Christians, have at present an altar, [3] and consequently a sacrifice, whereof they have no power to eat, who serve the tabernacle, confiding in the law and in Moses, not in Christ and the gospel. He does not say, we had an altar. Wi. — S. Paul has often mentioned the high priest and victim; here he tells us we have an altar, and of course a sacrifice. Let us then go out of ourselves to offer to God by, with, and in Jesus Christ, this his beloved Son, in the holy Eucharist, for this is a victim of praise worthy of God, and let us not forget to offer ourselves to our eternal Father daily, in union with our great high priest and victim, Jesus Christ; 1st, on the cross; 2dly, in the Eucharist; and 3dly, in heaven, the immaculate Lamb slain as it were from the beginning before the throne of God. *

From the Navarre Bible commentary on Heb 13:10

Very probably the term “altar” refers to the “eucharistic table” and possibly also to Christ in the Eucharist. It is not possible to take part in Christian worship if one has another religious allegiance, and vice versa (cf. 1 Cor 10:21).

The text is saying that the Old Testament form of worship has been replaced by Christian worship; Christian worship is the real thing; Old Testament worship was only its shadow or prefigurement.

👍
It does make sense, since 1 Cor 10 says the Eucharist is a Sacrifice at the Christian Altar.

This is an AWESOME verse by the way, I’m glad you pointed it out; I’d not noticed it before!
