Sacrilege picking blessed objects apart?

I have a couple of blessed rosaries with likewise blessed medals - including St Benedict medals blessed in the “special” way - hanging from to them. Since these where blessed with the medals already attached, would it be sacrilegious to pick these apart and use the medals in other ways?
 
As long as the medals are being used in a respectful and appropriate manner then there is nothing sacrilegious about taking them apart and forming a new spiritual object(s).
