I think many are living in denial.
this reminds of a conversation that i had with a man from the Church. when i said that BXVI was fixing up things, “he told me, i dont think he is.”

it is scary but it is true. we have been seen all these things hapening. the clergy acting like hippies. accepting anything that people wants to do. no respect for the Church any longer. that is what i am talking about. the clergy are so worried about condemning Obama and does not realize that they themselves are causing the people to loose respect for the Church because of their actions.
just pay attention to their language. very banal language.
Lord have Mercy on us.

I do not think Tradition in Action is a very reliable source for information on the Catholic Church; Catholic Culture has given them a rating of “Danger” for Fidelity, as they set themselves up in complete disobedience to the Church’s hierarchy, mock the Holy Father, and sit in judgment of Catholics who do not think exactly the way they do.

Their closet-sedevacantist mentality and the generally inflammatory nature of their articles is enough to make any truly faithful Catholic run, not walk, in the other direction. They have no right to claim defense of the Church because they are not in obedience to it; they follow their own authority instead.

They continually refer to His Holiness as “Pope Ratzinger” and John Paul II as “Pope Wojtyla”, and refer to their post-Conciliar “schismatic ‘Church’” (replete with scare quotes). In their zeal to find “abuses” in the Church, especially those committed by the Popes, they have done some reaching. One example of “modernism” is Pope Benedict wearing sunglasses. O, the horror! I wonder what TIA would have thought had they been around when *spectacles *were first invented. Is it not possible the Holy Father wears sunglasses for the same reason I do – to keep the glare of the bright sun out of my eyes?

Their attitude of contempt taints and undermines what they have to say – even if they have good points to make, all one can say is that even a broken clock is completely accurate twice a day. I.e., a story may be right, but that would be inspite of them, not because of them.

I believe – my personal opinion – that they are a bunch of sedevacantists who lack either the honesty or courage to admit it.

So we are to avoid TIA because another website (Catholic Culture) does not like them? Catholic Culture’s “examples” of infidelity" consist of commentary on two pictures.

They have no right? Are you the one with the right to determine that? Can you give some examples of how TIA is disobedient to the Church? Please be specific.

Its very pleasing to the heart hearing smooth melodies from Kim Clement. A very calm and pure music that inspires me and gave soulful mind. I might say he is a modern Prophet. Check this site: Kim Clement , and let the music begin.

Whenever I’ve seen TIA’s site, it’s clear to me that they are never so happy as when they point out the perceived shortcomings of others.

When I was approaching cataract surgery and for some weeks afterwards until I got my final glasses, I’d have to wear sunglasses even in Church because light that was too bright hurt my eyes.

Finally, homosexuality and pedophilia are NOT the same things, though too many people confuse them.

Ghoti beat me to the punch by giving some good examples in their post about how those involved with Tradition in Action are disrepectful to the Holy Father and the Church hierarchy. I did not say I personally have the right to determine that Tradition in Action has no right to defend Church Tradition; I am telling what is the truth, plain and simple, because these people believe that the hierarchy have no power over them. They believe they are their own authority, and that they have the right and power to determine what is “traditional”. It is not that Catholic Culture “does not like” Tradition in Action, but that their review of the site shows, from their findings, that their articles are completely the opposite of faithfulness to the Church. They would not give Tradition in Action a Fidelity rating of “Danger” if that were not the case.

A person, or group of persons, cannot preserve Sacred Tradition, or historical traditions of the Catholic Church, if they separate themselves through disobedience. None of the saints or Church Fathers ever advocated disobedience of lawful superiors in the way that the people associated with Tradition in Action practice it. It is true that we are to obey God above all, but we are also to obey those whom He has placed in authority over us. We do not have to always agree with them, but we are bound to obey them. The only time one can, and should, disobey is when they are EXPLICITLY ordered to commit sin. No member of the Church hierarchy, to my knowledge, has ever ordered any Catholic person to do such a thing.

As Catholics, we are to tell the truth. It makes me both sad and angry that there are some Catholics, however, who believe that the Eighth Commandment does not apply to them. Our Lord Himself said that by our words we will be acquitted, and by our words we will be condemned. Linking to sites and articles that are not faithful to Church teachings or to the Magisterium, or that promote lies, rumors, and half-truths as part of their agenda, is not being truthful.

Actually here they refer to him as “Pope Benedict XVI” under a photo of him wearing sunglasses.

Tradition in Action attempts to critique the modernism in everyday life, even in Rome. This was another example.

Tradition in Action has actually written on sedevacantism several times. Here is a good article on their website on the topic and why it is not tenable. And here is a snippet of their official position on the matter: We are not sede-vacantist, our position is explained in detail in the booklet Resistance versus Sede-Vacantism.

They believe they are their own authority, and that they have the right and power to determine what is “traditional”.
Is all of this supposition from the pictures of the Pope with sunglasses on? How do you know that this is what they believe?

They explain this thoroughly in the book We Resist You To the Face.

I do not like lies either. Has Tradition in Action lied? Or is it only the links you refer to?

And wearing sunglasses is an example of modernism in some theological or spiritual way? Pray explain how.

As I said, I had to wear sunglasses IN CHURCH when approaching and recovering from my cataract surgeries.
