Sad seeker-friendly extreme

I was upset and now I’m simply heartbroken. A church that is a sister of my former church has a pastor who apparently (if I heard it correctly) decided to avoid the name of Jesus in services in order to be more “seeker-friendly”. It’s about as unexpected as it could have been. The people don’t agree but can’t do much, from what I gather, and it just goes to show how outrageous the seeker-friendly approach gets. If churches disguised as pool halls and industrial parks and rest stops weren’t enough they start even disguising their religious beliefs during service? When I dropped out of the Pentecostal church two years ago, they were working on a seeker-friendly building to lure unsuspecting drivers in on the roadside, play sermons over a loudspeaker into a coffeeshop and bookstore or whatever and basically distract them in a big mall with the church literature strewn discreetly about. That was our strategy to save souls. I saw it as ridiculous then. Now one of them in the area is coming to this? Almost the biggest congregation in the metro area at that.
Has anyone else here been in a church so seeker-friendly that it seems more like it’s trying to sneak up on people?

OF COURSE something can be done about it. People don’t have to show up to the services, and they don’t have to donate money. The pastor will learn quickly. If not, the message sent would be to find greener pastures.

I have never been to a “seeker-friendly” church but I have been annoyed by enough so-called non-sexist language that it disturbs my focus.

If they want to make it even more seeker-friendly why not just say “believe what you want, do what you want, who cares?”

These are the reasons one must remain or convert to the Catholic church. It is very holy and it is the true church of Christ. We would NEVER EVER not mention our Lord’s name. In fact, I never heard anything so absurd as a Christian coming from a “so-called” Christian church.
