Sad to even write this-especially after all of your prayers

well…DH didn’t get the job that he interviewed for last week. they told him they really liked him etc, but they were looking for a candidate with one specific past experience which he didn’t have…BUT on the positive side, he already did another first-round interview yesterday for another place and is awaiting a phone call this week to find out if he moves on or not.

we could still use support and prayers. he is getting his last paycheck from the old place this week, and we found out that his benefits are trickling off at this point. our entire family can be covered by me for health and meds, dental and hearing, but he is now without disability coverage which makes me nervous-especially because he is driving long distances to these interviews.

well, again, please continue to pray for us. we really need it now. thanks to all
 
We can and should not ever questions God’s ways, but this may be his way of guiding your husband to something even better. 👍

Lord, please help this father and husband find a job that will give him not only an income and benefits, but fulfillment and job satisfaction. I ask this through the intercession of Your Most Holy Mother, Mary.

We’re in the same boat… transferred all our benefits to my job when my husband lost his job. It’s SOOOOO tight financially right now. Painfully. I don’t even want to THINK about DH’s lack of disability coverage.

We can and should not ever questions God’s ways, but this may be his way of guiding your husband to something even better. 👍

so many ppl losing their job!!
 
while we DON’T question our Lord’s plan for us, we are absolutely human and the fear is settling in. we have faith, but fear looms. it’s very scary. the waiting for an answer is the worst.

I’m still praying for you! Tell your husband not to lose hope! When hope dies, despair follows, and we weren’t given a spirit of despair!

My daughter was out of work for many months. She had many great interviews. I will tell you what I told her:

*God already knows what job He is getting for you, your job is to keep going to interviews until you find it.

It’s a done deal, the timing is just a secret.*

Yeah, she didn’t find it comforting, either. Until she got a job and realized how much better it was for her than all the ones she thought she wanted. I believe she talked to Saint Cajetan about it.

I’ve been trying to get back into teaching for some time now, and have been frustrated for over 18 months. All I’ve gotten is subbing jobs and the odd 3 or 5 days together.

Our family has really struggled during this time. It; horrible, but through it all I’ve had this kind of optimism that things would work out. Many things have improved during this time: my faith and prayer life, my relationship with my wife, and more quality time with the kids. My credit rating has taken an absolute trashing, and I’ve been behind on many bills almost continually.

However, things DID turn round.

Two weeks ago 2 positions were created that I would be a prime candidate for - for 2 teacher/chaplains in 2 local high schools.

I had background in prison chaplaincy, high school teaching and theology. And I was offered both jobs!

It’s just about my dream teaching assignment - all I had to do was hang on long enough.
 
We all know that when God closes a door, His mother opens a window. Keep the faith. This will all work out well. God bless.
 
THANK YOU ALL!!! your words are comforting and warming tonight as we move ahead. MY DH is an incredible husband and dad, and teacher. we know something will work out. two years ago when his last position was eliminated (due to lack of enrollment in the district), we had to wait until mid-july before many of the interviews even started. ironically, several of those same districts have posted openings again this year that he qualifies for!

hopefully we will have an offer well before then, and we will know what our life will look like in september. but…if not…well we will just do our best to be patient.

we truly appreciate every single one of you and your wonderful blessings upon us. your words are like water to the thirsty!

This is so great to hear!

Just FYI: One result of my daughter’s unemployment was she had to declare bankruptcy. She was devastated. But, she recovered quickly and recently bought a new house. So, your credit will recover, I am sure.
 
today is the day we are waiting for on the second interview…dh did a first round interview in another place on tuesday. they are calling al; candidates that they are interested in for a second round interview today. we knew that today is the day to expect the call, so dh has gone crazy the past couple of days!

another really nice district, a good position, a good fit. he’s really hopeful. please continue to pray for us today! thanks
