Saddened by a website

OK now I am upset. They can pick on the Catholic Church but when they start picking on Pope John Paul II, who IMHO was one of the best things to ever happen to Catholicism and the world, it is going too far. I can understand how the OP was so confused and saddened by this website.

We can laugh at Jack Chick, and we do, but it really is sad that these people have nothing better to do with their time than to lie about the most precious thing in my life - my Faith. I can hardly believe that a few weeks ago I was falling away from God. I thank Him that someone caught me in time. These sites do nothing to lessen my Faith in Catholicism; they only make it stronger. I thank God that He has shown Himself to me in such a wondrous way.

I will pray for these people.

Actually I was looking at the Jesus is Lord website and not Jesus is Savior website they appear to be sister sites because they are so alike.

I believe both sites have some crazy things said about Catholics. Has your time at CAF changed your point of view about what is said about Catholics on those sites?

I checked out the website and no, it is not Catholic. It calls itself Catholic but as you pointed out it attacks Pope John Paul II and doesn’t mention our current Pope (or at least I could find no mention).

It is a cult. It is not Catholic. There is nothing you can do to stop someone from using the word “Catholic” in the name of the church they are founding. And on the surface it does appear to be Catholic.

But it isn’t.

I ran into a website that was sedeventist ( something like that) They were hammering the popes and vat 2…I found out that RC has more division then they like to admit…

Chicks tracts are comics and if they’re read like a comic they’re a real good laugh. Some people make the mistake of taking them seriously.

The amount of times people have said things to me and I’ve replied “You read that in a comic.” refering to something by Chick is a lot.

ExCat here. Knew my faith but left. The longer Im out the more I see what I dont like about Catholicism.

I and few others I know did… My druggie coworker and I had a pretty radical conversion experience…Our coworkers wondered what happened to us as we started talking about Jesus and how He died to give us life…We are in the His kingdom for 30-40 years know because someone care enough to desire to win souls to Christ…I have given away hundreds of them …The Lord only knows who decided to follow Him from learning His plan for salvation…Do you know the Lord has a crown for those who bring souls to Christ…Do you know we are to be ready in season and out to share with others of the hope of Christ within us…God’s word does not return void…Rather than poke fun at gospel tracts you should be more concerned of who you can share Christ with family and friends God has put in your path… May the Lord draw you closer to Him in these last days…You know the only ones that even came to my door and spoke to me about Jesus are the JW’s and people from regular "bible "churches…We search the scriptures for in them we have eternal life…May the Lord bless you and keep you…

Make no mistake we are not poking fun at Gospel tracts. Jack Chick publications do not qualify as such. They are nothing but deceitful lies meant to divide, and destroy God’s Church.

We’ll the one I used was fine…Remember we will all give account for our words and deed…I am very careful how I speak of others…While not everything we do is pleasing and correct God works in spite of us…What if God has a soul winners crown for His work in spreading the gospel…Remember God’s ways are higher than ours…peace to you

Jesus did speak of it

Matt 12:32 “And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but he that shall speak against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come.”

St Paul also spoke of it

1st Cor 3:13-15 “Every man’s work shall be manifest; for the day of the Lord shall declare it, because it shall be revealed in fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work, of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide, which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work burn, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire.”

Our Lord may take many evils and use it for some good. inspite of it, not because of it.
