My testimony is on page 27 and some portions on earlier pages of this forum. I do not know what “everyone else thinks and feels” and I never claimed such nonsense. I do however know how you and some of those who read my testimony rejoiced, because I personally experienced them through their continued allegations and challenges.
Somehow I don’t see someone coming to the belief that they are better then everyone else and need to put everyone else down is anything to rejoice about.

I think if you go back and review, it was you with your band of riders of horses in heavenly places that were looking down over the bridge to see if I were a troll.

I was the one who called you and those with you off their self righteous horses.

Arrogance is percieved in the “eyes of the beholder”. Just as they beheaded John, stoned Stephen, and crucifed our Lord.

Question: how are we self-righteous? Do you feel we are persecuting you like John, Stephen and Jesus?

I’m happy you found the Lord but I’m not happy what you are implying here since it might be misinterpreted as uncharitable.

Apparently our friend here is on equal footing with St John, St Stephen, and even our Lord!

Is there anything uncharitable in my love for Jesus Christ? Yes, there are some here that have the stone’s within the palms of their hands.

You can choose to ignore me, but I will continue to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord as I have from the very beginning. You tend to be more concerned with using the right words for the wrong reasons. Any brother of mine would not call my love for Jesus as “bilge”.

And you won’t dance with me unless you repent.

To continue my story of my conversion from condemnation to life through the everlasting grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

I told you before in my posts of my awful sinful life and my reading the Word of God, my eventual trusting of the free gift that Jesus offered, because I was convinced that He was True. I came to believe that He was indeed the “Son of the Living God” and only He held the keys to everlasting life and forgiveness of my sin through the shedding of His precious blood on the alter that His Father had prepared for Him.

Knowing this, and who I was, a sinful, undeserving, and unworthy beggar, I put my hand with His hand, and trusted Him for my salvation in this life and in the one to come. You see, I knew I had nothing to offer before Him, I was condemned to eternal damnation before His Holy law. So, mercy and grace is all that I could ever recieve from Him.

Most importantly as I stated before, I knew who I was and my love for sin and therefore there was no reason to reach out for His hand if He were to leave me without the promise of His helping me. Else I would just return to the same lifestyle I was leading. Why enter into an agreement if you know that you are unable to fullfill your word?

So I can only say that He has remained faithful to me and through His spirit and the seed of an unexplainable love in my heart for Him, He has lifted me out of the eternal damnation I deserved. Now He goes before me and proclaims me as an adopted son of the Most High and I proclaim Him as King and Savior of Heaven and Earth.

My testimony to you is that Jesus Christ is Alive, and “He IS”, and He sits on the heavenly throne to redeem sinners into His kingdom of everlasting life. This is as I understand the “Good News” of the Gospel.

I preach to you to also reach out and learn of Him, and turn way from all your reliance on symbols and self constructed ideas where protecting the words that men call them is percieved as righteousness.
hello rocket man. wow! where do we start. the true faith once proclaimed to the saints, is the faith found in the Catholic Church. it was prophecied and prefigured in the old testament in many ways. such as malichi 1:11, only the Catholic Church can fit this prophecy, and how about the ark of the covenant.hmm. if you do a really careful study, both old and new testament, you will see that the ark of the covenant prefigured the Blessed Mother. Mary. but these things are probably a little too deep for you. they were for me also before i came to see the truth through a personal revelation. but that being said back to my point. the true faith is bound up in the bible and sacred tradition. one deposite of faith. the bible that you hold so dear, as i do myself. did not even come into existence until years after the ascension of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. it was other than the old testament an oral tradition passed down from the apostles to the Church. if you read read Clements letter to the corinthians, he adresses apostolic succession. in part 44. the apostles knew there would be contentions, after their deaths, so they put this in place so we would always have a pure doctrine. the Catholic Church does not have a man made doctrine, it is the protestants that have done this. the symbols we have received come from these traditions. such as when paul stated, i portrayed nothing but Christ and him crucified. the Jews also had many symbols and sacred vessels. all prefiguring Christ. we however have something much better. the Eucharist. if you want to actually meet Christ, attend the mass of your choice any given day. we meet him bodily in the Eucharist. i feel bad that protestants cannot see this. its all taught in the bible and sacred tradition, that these things are true. and i would rather give my life up for Christ, than accept the incomplete doctrine that you and others espouse. peace be unto you. im Glad you left your former life behind. now study to show yourself approved. look at the Early Church fathers, they were closer to the apostles than you or i could ever be. God bless.

How did I leave my former life?

How did I leave my former life?
i could ask the same question of you. how did I leave my former life. it wasnt through protestantism let me tell you. YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH. AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE. the truth my friend is contained in the Church, and you will find like i did. that protesantism will not be adequate for the long haul. you may very well find yourself entangled in the very things you once hated once again. apparently from what ive read you are a lapsed Catholic. and you also know feelings and emotions are only going to get you so far. what happens when you have a crises in your protestant faith. what happens when the honeymoon is over? what happens when your protestant pastor does not have the answeres you need? i used to be just like you my friend. but you will find out the cold hard reality eventually. and you will have a choice to make. may take months, may take years. the pastors in the protestant churches have no authority. a Priest does. and that is the authority of Christ. furthermore the Church is where all the graces necessary to walk a Godly life are found. you have found a temporary fix to the problem of sin my friend. and im sure i have alot more stains on my soul than you will ever have. i will be praying for you. and peace be with you.:gopray:

Well, at the time, I didn’t even know what a the protestant was. I knew that by reading the Word and praying to Him, I saw my love for sin turn to hatred for sin. And the things I had once cherished were replaced with love for Him.

I did try to go back to the Catholic Church, thinking that it was I who ran way from the church and now that I was healed, the church would all make sense. I just loved everyone and just wanted to get back to those whom I thought loved me and the Lord also. But that wasn’t what I found there after returning. It was full of people whom thought that because they were practicing “Catholic” rituals that they had a superior pass into heaven. Well, I already had been on that bus, so I left for a church where God’s love was evident.

While full would be an exageration i too have seen many people in many religions living in it rather than the spirit.

I have seen it it many religions.

It is a real sad thing.

hi brother rocket. i am sorry that all you see in the mass is just rituals. that you do not see the truth that they contain, im sorry you have had such an empty experience. i can sympathize with you. i have a very good friend who was raised Catholic. she had a very poor experience with it growing up dealing with confession. while i agree with her, that confession the way it was used in her parish was kind of strange. it still was no reason to leave the Church. have you ever talked to your priest about your feelings toward the rituals? have you ever been properly Catichized what actually happens in the mass? it is an amazing. healing ceremony, its not just happening here on earth, but we are joining with our brothers and sisters, with the angels, and all the heavenly host, saying or singing. glory to God in the Highest, and peace to his people on earth. Lord God Heavenly King. we worship you we honor you, we praise you for your Glory. Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father,Lord God,Lamb of God. You take away the sins of the world. have mercy on us. you are seated at the right hand of the Father: receive our prayer. For You alone are the Holy one. you alone are the Lord. You alone are the Most High. Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. amen. this is what you call just rituals? these are the prayers of the Church my friend. when it comes time, then please find a compassionate priest who can explain much more than we ever could. they would be happy to sit an answere your questions. love in Christ. 🙂

The prayers you repeat are so true, for those are all words of praise I experience when the Spirit cries out middle of night and wakes you to sing along with Him. And tears fall running down your face onto your pillow while you give this awesome Holy loving God the homage only He deserves. But in the Catholic church, my ears hear these same words heartlessly mumbled over and over again in the mass ceremony without meaning or praise. This not the type of worship He is looking for. For the Spirit confirms it.

I can see ever clearly the fullness of God’s glory in the shed blood of Christ upon the alter. I just view His sacrifice differently, as a one time event, complete and sufficient for all those who believe in Him…

i am sooo greatfull you feel this way! there my friend is the problem. you were in a parish where the people honored God with their lips, but their hearts may very well have been far from him. have you tried other parishes? trust me. not all are like this. you even have some that are somewhat charismatic in their approach. no need for you to leave the Church. you can find a parish that fits with your expectations. im more of a traditionalist myself. but its the same mass. look around, talk to people. see what you can find. I feel for you and will be praying for you. it doesnt matter if i know who you are or not. the Creator does know you, and who i am praying for. Love in Christ.:signofcross:

This statement reveals that you have no understanding of the Mass. Jesus told us to remember Him in the very Liturgy you disparage as

What a sad comment on the greatest gift Jesus gave us.

Here we go again. I have a understanding of the Mass. If the Mass is what you say it is, why do the people mumble the words?

I dont see Yeshua (pbwh) as instructing us to ritual the passover in mass. I see him as telling us to do as he did, meaning be more like him in our day to day dealing with others.

I dont dispute the mass is very important and brings sharing in His presence.
What a sad comment on the greatest gift Jesus gave us.
I think that is way wrong, the greatest gift he gave me was his sacrifice so i can have relationship with Our Father, this moves me to live for others not rituals.
Here we go again. I have a understanding of the Mass. If the Mass is what you say it is, why do the people mumble the words?
While some do many dont, the gathering of hearts in one accord is truly manifest in mass. Sure there will be individuals that dont put their heart in but thats why we come together and share gifts.

I see a Protestant kneeling by his bed. He has his Bible on the bed in front of him with his hands folded, head bowed and eyes closed facing the Bible. His forehead is also touching the Bible. Do I assume he is worshiping the Bible? Do I then I assume all Protestants worship Bibles?

In Christ,
Andrew

I don’t have anything more than my testimony. I believe that those who are one with Christ would rejoice when Jesus finds a lost sheep. Don’t you?
I am sorry, in what part of your “testimony” is bearing false witness allowed?
