Has anybody here on CAF been watching this syndicated TV series?
I have caught parts of a couple episodes in the second Lindgren was not even on it. Wounded vet an DWTS champion JR Martinez seemed to be the star. It was your basic super models playing firefighters when they weren’t in a lifeguard station. Trying to pass off South Africa as Los Angeles Country. was laughableHas anybody here on CAF been watching this syndicated TV series?
How could you tell the location was actually South Africa, 4Squarebaby? I’ve been fascinated by that country for quite a few years.Trying to pass off South Africa as Los Angeles Country. was laughable
I am a native of Los Angeles and like Canada, South Africa looks nothing like it. Also somehow my father got on a mailing list during apartheid and we got a monthly propaganda magazine from there. Besides I google’ed the show and found out it was filmed in South Africa. Emergency being one of my favorite childhood shows I am always on the look out for a new version. I think Third Watch before it became a broadcast version of The Shield featuring Sgt Cruz has come closes in the last 40 years. SAF 3 seems too low budget and Baywatch like to meet my standardsQuote:

What was the propaganda magazine like, 4Squarebaby? Were there nice pictures of places like Durban and Cape Town? Also somehow my father got on a mailing list during apartheid and we got a monthly propaganda magazine from there.
It was Panorama, something like Life magazine. Everything was ooh so pretty and there were no pictures of the police and army in Soweto. As for the cars I can’t remember seeing any. In the first episode with Lindgren there. was a helicopter. In the second with Martinez they were in a lifeguard stationQuote:

Going back to SAF3, did the cars on the show have steering wheels on the right-hand side in the episodes you have seen?
