I did the Saint Andrew Christmas Novena for Advent. You pray the Saint Andrew prayer a total of 15 times each day. You can do it all at once or break it up so you pray the prayer 5 times, 3 times a day.
I ended up praying the prayer 3 times a day. This was pretty awesome in that instead of doing the prayer 15 times and then going on about my day it kept me thinking about it all day long. So then I started thinking, why not do this with the Rosary? Instead of sitting down and doing it all at once, why not break it up so I am praying each decade at a different time of the day throughout the day.
Would love to hear any thoughts this.

It’s fine to do it that way and some people do.

However, if you are trying to get a plenary indulgence for praying it, the Manual states that the rosary must not be “interrupted” which basically means you can’t break it up like that.

I also find that it’s hard for me to stop and pick up again later. I have a lot of prayers and things to get done in a day and it’s better if I concentrate and finish each one before I start something else. I stay more focused by finishing unless it’s some super-long prayer like a 20 decade rosary in which case I will probably take some breaks.

I agree with @Tis_Bearself,its much harder to get back on praying the rosary.Praying the rosary is maybe boring in beggining, but trust me,God Will give you Grace to Pray it whole without getting bored.I Will advise you to Pray it whole without stopping,It Will just take 20 minutes a day,but the Graces that are given through rosary prayer are amazing!
