Saint Athanasius and the Carmelites

Hello,

I have seen connections for Saint Cyril of Alexandria and Saint Antony of the Desert (among many other early desert monastics) and the Carmelite Order. Does anyone have a connection with Saint Athanasius and the Carmelites?

I’ve never come across any such connection, JMJ; perhaps tangentially, though, through his contact with St. Anthony of the Desert?

I haven’t read that book yet. ICS Publications states that it is outdated but is the best that normal folks can expect (read those of us poor laymen who don’t have access to University Libraries or the Vatican archives/museum/libraries ;)).
