Is it true I can’t wear my Saint Benedict medal before it is blessed by a priest?
 
Is it true one can’t wear newly purchased socks or underwear until it has been washed and blessed ?

I’m beginning to think you’re saying I’m allowed to wear it based off of this question 🤔
 
Until it’s blessed it’s a piece of jewelry. Afterwards it is a sacramental.
 
Of course you can wear it and use it devotionally before it is blessed. The blessing just takes it to a new level.

Think if you got a new rosary but couldn’t get it blessed till tomorrow. You could still pray a Rosary on it tonight.
Same for the medal.
 
Just as you know what all the lettering means.
A blessing - brings it to a new level !
