Saint Benedict's Medal Inscription Meaning

Good day to all!
While browsing the net, I came across with the following meaning of the CSPB-CSSML-NDSMD-VRSNSV-SMQLIVB inscriptions on St. Benedict Medal :

First version:
CRUX SANCTI PATRIS BENEDICTE
CRUX SACRA SIT MIHI LUX
NON DRACO SIT MIHI DUX
VADE RETRO SANTANA NUNQUAM SUADE MIHI VANA
SUNT MALA QUAE LIBAS IPSE VINENA BIBAS

Second Version:
CRUX SACRA PATRIS BENEDICTE
CHRISTUS SALVATOR SACERDOS MONS LAPIS
NICAS DOMINUS SABAOTH MAGISTER DEUS
VERITAS REDEMPTIO SAPIENTA NAZARENUS SOL MESSIAS
SPONSUS MEDIATOR QUASSATUS LEO IESUS VERBUM BOTRUS

Can someone enlighten me on this.

The first one is the traditional version. I never saw the second translation, and for some reason it’s putting my sensus Fidei on red alert. Something is not right with that one.

I doubt that second one is correct. This is from the Benedictines themselves:

I’ve never heard of the second one you’ve listed.

The second version is just “The Holy Cross of Our Father Benedict” followed by a whole bunch of names for Jesus Christ, one matching each letter of the traditional inscription.

There are prayers out there where you say the traditional prayer (the First Version you posted) and then reel off all the names for Jesus as some sort of extra protection against evil.
While it doesn’t seem to be approved by the Benedictines, there’s nothing wrong in sincerely reciting many names for Our Lord.
