Was there a saint who was crucified with his hands clasped together as if in prayer, i.e. both arms on the same bar of the cross? I can’t really explain why, but I had a really powerful vision of this, and just wondered if it was something connected to a historical saint?

have no idea, sorry… maybe try looking up a list of all the Saints who were crucified?
