St. David was the son of King Sant of South Wales.
He was ordained a priest and later studied under St. Paulinus.
Later, he was involved in missionary work.
He founded a number of monasteries.
St. David is revered as the patron of Wales.
Many monasteries flourished as a result of his leadership and good example.

It is sometimes important to take the lead in a situation.
What do you think?

In the longer term, I think that if we are to take the lead in a situation then God will help put us there so we know our position is from Him which glorifies Him rather than ourselves and I believe this would become apparent or be revealed as situations presented themselves according to God’s Will. Sometimes we have to take the lead spontaneously, in short terms scenarios, but that kind of goes without saying. IMHO. 🙂

Try to take the lead in all circumstances where the lead is lacking. I assume you are by gender a man.

Basically, in your own life, you will find that taking the lead is essential, because honestly, most of the time, you’re sort of alone in the reality of the world, because this world is not meant to be a heaven, and we are ultimately responsible for ourselves. If you don’t take the lead, inner “demons” (not literal) can take control of your emotional and logical brain and suddenly you catch yourself doing something you didn’t think much about: “Huh, this is weird.”

Discernment shows where the lead is lacking because it surely is not always our place to take the lead even though we might think it is? Is life really about assuming the role of leader or simply doing the best one can, in God, and seeing where that gets us, and oftentimes inspiring others to do better so they can take up the role of leader (seeing potential in others)? Weren’t the disciples of Christ rebuked gently for bickering amongst themselves as to who is number one? Aren’t Christians taught to put themselves last as a rule so that God can place them as He sees fit? Or is the term ‘leader’ being interpreted differently here because I was under the understanding that a leader is normally someone who serves the rest - placing yourselves last often seeing you placed first, is solid Bible teaching?!
