Saint Expedite... is he a real Saint?

I’ve been looking for Saints to help me fight procrastination. I came across Saint Expedite, and found many prayers invoking his help.

“A packing case, we are told, containing a body of a saint from the catacombs, was sent to a community of nuns in Paris. The date of its dispatch was indicated by the use of the word “spedito”, but the recipients mistook this for the name of the martyr and set to work with great energy to propagate his cult.”

I started praying to him, and I started seeing instant results; but I just want to make sure I`m praying to a real Saint. His story seems a little questionable. Also, I looked up my Catholic iPieta app and April 19 doesn’t seem to indicate his Feast Day. (However, I know a priest who shares his name.)

Any testimonials regarding the intercession of Saint Expedite?

I’m very interested in knowing if St Expedite is actually the patron Saint of procrastination as I struggle with it myself at times. I feel like doing my own research to find out if this is legitimate. Maybe I will start later in the week, or perhaps next week…

It IS a great story.
But one must remember, that when we are praying…you’re not praying TO the Saint, you’re praying to God and asking fro intercessory prayers.
I think God can handle all kinds of requests.
No worries.
I mean, people are still arguing whether St. George, or St. Christopher really existed.
If we are in need and pray, that’s really the point…no?

He is featured in my “Prayers for Urgent Occasions” prayer book.

I have prayed to him too in the past, for urgent needs.
