Saint for a Correct Medical Diagnosis

Does anyone know of a good patron saint for FINDING a correct medical diagnosis? When I look online everything is for a saint to help with a good medical report or negative test result, but I am instead searching for a proper diagnosis.

I’ve been praying to St. Anthony, St. Jude, St. Michael, and the Surrender Novena and Sacred Heart Novena for this problem. The medical attacks continue every few months for years now and no doctor or hospital can find the cause. Any patron saints for finding a correct diagnosis?

Well, it needs a skilled doctor to make the right diagnosis.

Pray to Saint Luke, Sts Cosmas and Damien and St Raphael, who are patron saints of doctors.

Although not specifically designated for this cause, Sts. Joseph and Padre Pio are my go-to saints for everything that no one else seems to answer.

St Panteleon.
The three above were all physicians.
 
St Luke reputedly was also a physician, which ie ehy he is also a patron of doctors.
 
Firstly, hang in there and keep trying! I know what this search is like…been there my self…dont give up.

St Monica - Patron saint of persistence
St Christopher - Patron saint of good luck
St Rita of casica- patron saint of impossible causes (just cos it feels like that not cos it is)

Of course don’t forget Our Lady who is always able to help us sort any troubles out. God bless you!

Thank you! I’ve never heard of St. Cosmas and Damian. I looked them up and will definitely pray to them!

St Gianna was a physician and mother. She is a beautiful recent addition to our Church’s list of Saints.

That’s a good one! I knew she was of kids/families but did not think about physician. Thank you!
 
Doctor’s advice:

St. Christopher is not the “patron saint of good luck”. There’s no such thing as “luck” in Catholic theology. St. Christopher is the Patron Saint of Travelers and Children, that’s why people put a St. Christopher medal in their cars or in their luggage, etc… It’s not meant to be some kind of a “good luck” talisman.

Another Saint you might want to try is St. Gerard, especially for issues related to motherhood. He’s the Patron Saint of Mothers. But, be careful. He’s powerful! 😉
 
Thank you! My greatest dream is to get married and have kids, but this illness is making me bed bound. Hopefully one day. Maybe I will add St. Gerard to the list. Thank you.

You’re very welcome. But, before you give up on him, St. Gerard is actually powerful for any kind of problems. His specialty is mothers and children, but he’s also powerful to help with any other medical conditions. He can also help with any financial situations, as well. It can’t hurt to give him a try. 🙂

This prayer might be a little more suited to your situation. You can say it as a novena, too.
