Saint for Dogs

I have a friend who has a very sick pup. Its a Dachshund and her little legs have been messing up and she had surgery and still isn’t doing very well. Is there a Saint for Dachshunds?? If there isn’t what would a been a good Saint for me to tell her about?

St. Francis is a great Saint for all animals. My parish has a blessing of pets (all kinds of pets) on his feast day.

So does ours. (St. Francis is probably the only non-early church saint that Lutherans would have a special day for…).
