During an apparition with our lady…

saint Gregory relates that a child of five years, who had arrived at the use of reason, for having uttered a blasphemy, was seized by the devil and carried to Hell. The Divine Mother revealed to that great servant of God, Benedicta of Florence, that a boy of 12 years was damned after the first sin. Another boy of eight years died after his first sin and was lost. You say: I am young: there are many who have committed more sins than I have. But is God on that account obliged to wait for your repentance if you offend Him? In the gospel of St. Matthew (xxi. 19) we read that the Savior cursed a fig tree the first time He saw it without fruit. “May no fruit grow on thee henceforward forever. And immediately the fig tree withered away.” You must, then, tremble at the thought of committing a single mortal sin, particularly if you have already been guilty of mortal sins.

Nope, nope, nope. I don’t believe a word of it. Private revelation doesn’t have to be believed. It may very well have been the devil tricking people so they’d lose hope and fall into despair.
 
Pretty impactful. Good to remind ourselves of the fact that without God’s mercy we would all be damned… and God is by no means obliged to offer His mercy to all of us.
 
Calling horsehockey on all of it. For that matter, the term “Divine Mother” is clearly problemmatic and theologically incorrect if not blasphemous.

The first thing I notice in this article is his thesis statement. An assertion like this goes against the teaching of the Catholic Church. It would most definitely be heretical, meaning directly in conflict with what the Church teaches.
I intend to show, in this discourse, that, when sins reach a certain number, God pardons no more. Be attentive.

Precisely. There’s no reason to read such nonsense.
 
Simon, I would highly recommend you get a copy of :

St. Faustina’s Diary, Divine Mercy in My Soul,

It will show you what Jesus, and His Church, really teaches about Sin, Justice, and most of all, God’s Mercy.

Reading this will encourage you and give you the beautiful hope you can carry in your soul of the great mercy of God.

but there is no evidence to support the diary is real, it was actually condemned by the church at one point before JPII brought it back.

Pope John Paul II is a canonized saint now. Do you think he would not know what he’s talking about? 🙂

Someone here can get you the sections of the Catechism of the Catholic Church on Sin and God’s Mercy if I don’t get back to you sooner. It says basically what the diary says but in a more dogmatic fashion.

(It was not “condemned” exactly. That would be the wrong word to use. There were other reasons it was set back. )

if God was as merciful as your making out, why do most people go to hell
 
I haven’t got those exact figures as yet.

You seem to have a desire to believe that God is not a merciful God.
 
he’s merciful, but i’m also realistic that he abandons those who abuse it.

I am one of those people who have abused it many times. I just worry
 
Father Rippenger mentioned this in one of his homilies. I asked my priest about it and he said the same thing, that this idea is heresy.
 
Read the diary.

Also, voice your concerns to a priest. You can do this in confession or outside of it.

Padre Pio is famous for saying:

Pray. Hope. And don’t Worry.

Try to remember that little quote. 🙂

I have a hard time believing that a 5 year old child can freely choose eternal separation from God.
 
It’s the devil that is putting this doubt, worry, and fear into your mind. Reject it.

Some of Jesus’ words…​

I am love and mercy itself. … Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. … My mercy is greater than your sins, and those of the entire world. … I let My Sacred Heart be pierced with a lance, thus opening wide the source of mercy for you. Come then with trust to draw graces from this fountain. … The graces of My mercy are drawn by the means of one vessel only, and that is trust. The more a soul trusts, the more it will receive.
