Can somebody fully explain the Catholic view of his life (except that he was chaste while with Mary,and took care of baby Jesus).
Any additional information is wellcomed!!!

There is still theology developing on this that might be controversial to some but it is rarely discussed.

But yes the basics of what you have stated are correct.

Edit: also the protoevangelium of James is kinda important… but not enough to be in the biblical canon.

The Bible tells us little about him. There are other sources with stories about him, like he had five brothers and how he was summoned to the Temple when Mary was to be given in marriage even though he was much older and his Aaron tribe rod blossomed, that he lived with Mary and Jesus in Egypt for 6 years, etc. Whether you believe any extra-Biblical source is up to you.
