Hello everyone,

I thought that I’d share my appreciation for Saint Joseph with you all. I have asked him for guidance at different times in my life, especially now, and have never been disappointed.

He is close to Jesus, and his intercession on our behalf is powerful. Pray to him and ask him to put in a word for you, you won’t regret it.

Here is the first prayer to Saint Joseph that I learned. It was written over 1900 years ago! Pray it sincerely and often for best results. 🙂

O Saint Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires.

O Saint Joseph, assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged here below your heavenly power I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.

O Saint Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me, and ask Him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath Saint Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for us. Amen.

St. Joseph, terror of demons, pray for us!

I forgot who, maybe St. Thomas, but one of them argued that St. Joseph was assumed Body and Soul into heaven also. I believe this to be true since there was no known remains, but mainly because Jesus loves him so much.
 
Memorare Prayer to St Joseph

Remember, O most chaste spouse of the Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help and sought your intercession were left unassisted. Full of confidence in your power I fly unto you and beg your protection.

Despise not, O Guardian of the Redeemer, my humble supplication, but in your bounty, hear and answer me. Amen.

I love St Joseph, for too many reasons to count.
 
There is also a novena and I am currently praying with it. Sorry, I don’t have it online at the moment.
 
He certainly is the most glorious of all the saints. I agree, ask him to pray for you and your prayers will be answered.
 
Good St. Joseph helped my husband, sole breadwinner of the family, through a difficult time at work. How lucky we are to have such an example of husband and father!
 
St Joseph has helped me find my last two jobs. He is truly a great intercessor.

God be praised in His saints.
 
Yes, he has never let me down. Not once. On behalf of myself or others. Aren’t we lucky to be Catholic, to have such powerful intercessors?
 
I have recently taken up devotion to the great and fantastic Saint Joseph. What inspired me was a book called THE DIVINE FAVORS GRANTED TO SAINT JOSEPH by Pere Binet (spelling?). It made me realize just how MUCH divine grace this fine man must have had dwelling in his soul to be able to raise God Incarnate from an infant to manhood and what TRUST God the Father put in St. Joseph to allow him to do so.

My first career has been under your patronage… may my next one be as well…
 
Today in the older (pre-'55) calendar is the solemnity of St. Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church. I love to say one of the parts of the old Mass as my personal prayer.
