Saint Jude devotion?

The other day I said a prayer to St. Jude, and it stated that I promise a devotion to him, is it okay to just say “Saint Jude pray for me” everyday to count as a devotion?
 
I would say it OK but what about also adding the Our Father prayer to it as well. Combined together will be very powerful.

It would be the same as saying “good morning” to a neighbor.

Wouldn’t it be a little better if you stopped a while and had a nice chat with your neighbor. Wouldn’t that make more of an impression?

The saints too are people(in a sense), have a chat with him. He is real. Just talk to him.
