So you think there is no chance ever that any crowd in a residential area will get unruly?

When they bang down your door, that’s a little late to be activating your defense. What was that about the cops being minutes away while you have much less time to act than that? If there’s enough chaos in your city, those cops might be tied up elsewhere. The 911 operator might tell you it’s going to be a long wait. The point I’m making is that in some crowd somewhere, there may be an agitator who is not so peaceful. What do you do to let that person know it might not be a good idea to target your house in the first place?
 
A gun store in areas has offered them a free AR-15 so I wonder if police will be back again to collect.

You know, there’s a lot of bending over backwards to try to paint this crowd as a threat to this random couple. The crowd wasn’t there to confront them, didn’t know they were there, just were on the way to the mayor’s house.

They should have respected private property. the police can charge them with trespass. But, the response to trespass is not deadly force, and the only reason to point a weapon at someone is to use deadly force.

We had the discussion on the original thread about this incident. No need to rehash it here.

well, why claim the crowd was unruly? why neglect the violence in the story?

you keep saying they were only going to the mayor’s house but neglect the effect the guns had on the crowd. we don’t know what would have happened if the guns were not present.

those guns may have saved the neighborhood.

an armed society is a polite society.

I see the weapons as inciting the crowd, not keeping them on check.

What every happened to the right to defend your home. There were hundred to protesters outside the man’s home. They broke his gate and threaten his wife, himself and to kill his dog. This will go to courts and we will see how they rule.

The man had deep pockets so I am glad because if they lose, I hope he sues the state and wins big time.

The Covington high school student sued for $275 million.

Castle Doctrine is still applicable is that state. I don’t know enough about the local laws to know if it is applicable in that situation. It will be a question for the court to examine.
 
There was a discussion between two lawyers on this. I thought it was interesting to hear an interpretation from legal professionals.

 
BTW, Kim Gardner took money from a Soros-connected organization to win her election. As did Kim Foxx in Chicago. Among many others across the country.

Part of the nationwide phenomena of DA’s all over the country who bend over backward to help the arrested rioters get back on the streets with no charges. Most of them received money from one or more Soros-connected organizations. This was public knowledge the last few years and I wondered what the progressives stood to gain from expending resources on DA elections. Wonder no more. Soros and his groups must have anticipated some form of uprisings long ago and included this in their planning to stoke those uprisings by getting their shock troops back on the streets quickly.

The problem is that it’s going to take time and money to counter all of these rogue DA’s during the next election cycle. In the meantime, they will continue to allow havoc to be wreaked on our streets.
 
The video you posted was 37 minutes but I listened. I learned that they were in a gated community and the roads were private. In Canada, you need to get permits for protests because they want to know when, where and how long.The language in the law in Missouri is very sketchy because define angry, people will disagree on what is anger. The length of jail time is 4 years if convicted and they would be possibly disbarred. The governor has said he will pardon and even the DA said she is looking at a deferment.

I have also seen in the news that the Attorney General is looking into a dismissal. They probably realize this couple will bring a counter lawsuit.

In other words, they picked on the wrong people.
Rich liberal loyal Democrat voters (and donors) who just happen to be armed.

Woulda been better if they had hit on a poor as heck couple who couldn’t afford to fight back and/or file expensive lawsuits.

The optics are lousy for this DA.
 
So the DA’s office was willing to fabricate evidence, good to know.
