Saint of Lost Wallets?

Since I was a little girl I remember there were many saints to pray to for different reasons.

I am wondering who is the Saint of lost items?

The reason of am asking is because recently this year I have found two lost wallets with lots of cash and credit cards in them and I was successful in returning them to their owners.
This is the first time in my life that I have had the experience of finding lost wallets. I wonder if I have a saint or angel that chooses me to find the lost wallets because they know I will make sure persons get their wallets back.
I find it interesting. What do you all think? Lucia
 
St. Anthony is the traditional saint for lost items, the traditional prayer to invoke his intercession is “Tony, Tony, turn around. Something’s lost and must be found.”
 
Thank you for the info. I found a St. Anthony website and read his story. He traveled a lot and also was known as a spiritual sea man.
Now I understand why I keep finding lost things.
When I lose things and I start looking for them I can’t find them but then later on I find them all of a sudden. Now I know why. It is St. Anthony helping me out. Lucia

Dear Saint Anthony, you are the patron of the poor and the helper of all who seek lost articles. Help me to find the object I have lost so that I will be able to make better use of the time I will gain for God’s greater honor and glory. Grant your gracious aid to all people who seek what they have lost - especially those who seek to regain God’s grace. Amen.
 
My vote is also for St. Anthony; he has helped me SO many times in my life. Years ago I asked his help as soon as my son’s 5 foot python was missing from his enclosure, and I found the snake right away! 😃
 
I can’t count the number of times St. Anthony has helped me find lost items… and helped with other problems as well. He’s not called the Wonder Worker for nothing!
 
St. Anthony also finds new places to move to like a new home to move to. I asked for a nice clean nursing home for my 96yr.old dad and I prayed for help. I had a dream of the word SKY. I wondered what it meant until I noticed that the name of the home I wanted for my dad was named Skyline Nursing Home. I had been thinking and thinking which home to put him in and I finanally found the right home for him.

I forget my camcorder in a Motel 6 in Gainesville, Florida, 2 weeks ago. It took 3 days before I realized it was not where it was suppose to be.

I called the motel to see if housekeeping had turned the unit in. They hadn’t, but maybe they did and it got away from there. My guess it is in a pawn store somewhere in Central Florida. 😦 But who knows, it could be anywhere by now.

Too Lucia bad didn’t find my camcorder. Total for the gaffe 350 dollars. Ouch.

In my middle years I can’t keep up anything anymore. I’m gonna make friends with St. Anthony.
 
Hi Rider, it really helps if we all put our I.D.'s on our lost items.
I always put those address stickers and my cell phone number on them. It is especially important to put your cell phone number on the outside of your luggage when you fly because they can call you if there is a problem with lost luggage. Lucy
 
Guess what? A guy found a lost purse. I told him to look for the person’s name and we ran to the church to see if the gal was still in the church. It was an expensive Louie Vuitton purse and filled with credit cards. We found the gal had walked away from her purse and was talking to someone in church. She was glad her purse was found.
It was really interesting that I was able to help in returning the gal’s purse. I told her it was St. Anthony who found her purse.
She said she would read about his life-time. Lucia

Dear Saint Anthony come around, something’s lost and cant be found. (then I say what it is). Then you chant it over and over and over. Dont be surprised if yours eyes pop open in the middle of the night and you think to look in the laundry room, or garage, or wherever…he never fails if you believe…The longest something ever took to re-locate was 2 months…but it turned up…NEVER fails…

I have even asked Jesus to help me.

and it seems the older I get, the more I loose…😊

Wish I could loose weight…
 
Hi Nancy, I know how you feel about losing weight.

I have noticed that extremely overweight people who weigh 400lbs or more are being fed by their care givers.

Since I am the one that puts the food in my mouth I say to myself over and over, 'I control what I put in my mouth". It is me who is putting too much food in my mouth so I just try to control the amounts of foods and I eat what I like to eat but in moderation. I will never be thin or skinny but at least I will be able to move around and be able to control what I CHOOSE TO EAT and how much. My dreams also tell me what is not good for me to eat.
Recently a dream told me not to eat salami because it has too much salt and it is unhealthy for me.

If I should find your lost weight I will make sure to return it to you. JUST KIDDING !! LOL. Luci
 
I recently asked St. Anthony to help me find some library books. I remembered that he was a Franciscan and so I told him, “If you help me find these books, I will make a donation to the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal!” They turned up the next day! 🙂

(I didn’t tell this story to brag, but in hopes that other people may get the idea to do a similar thing the next time they can’t find something… I just love the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal!)
 
St. Anthony is great for these things. He really has helped me. I just started my Novena since his day is June 13. It is not to late to start a Novena to St. Anthony.

While St. Anthony is clearly known to be the saint of lost things, don’t stop at lost articles…I sometimes ask St. Anthony in another way…using the word “find” in the prayer. “St. Anthony, please help me FIND the answer.”, etc.

Always remember to offer him thanks - for finding your lost item, and if possible, sending an offering to the poor or St. Anthony’s Orphans in Padua. And don’t forget, that June 13th (just around the corner) is St. Anthony’s Feast Day !
