Is there a standard offering to Saints for intercession?
For instance - I have seen people put out Mint for St Jude? Is this official doctrine, or is it unofficial but tolerated, or is it not tolerated at all officially.
(they also use different colored candles, or candles with the names/pictures of a saint on them).
Depending on what is going on some people I know approach prayers for intercession from a saint differently. (I know people from all over Lain and South America)
If you do not know what a saint likes, is there a sort of “acceptable offering” for any Saint.
