Paul is no where in Islam. He is also not any where in the four Gospels. Jesus never predicted (prophesied) the conversion of paul. Jesus should have known about the conversion of paul but he did not tell any one about it. The reason is that it is all untrue.

The works of paul are totally opposite to those of Jesus. paul taught the trinity, the son and the begotten son affair. Jesus did not preach anything about Trinity. Jesus never said that he was the son of God or the begotten son of god. Why that is being preached so much. Please explain.

Muslims and Quran are right in keeping far away from paul and his philosophy. That was not anything from God. It was his personal views and thoughts. He spoke in the name of Jesus and not in the name of God. So what use was that!

None of the disciples are even mentioned by name in the Quran either so exclusion of Paul says nothing one way or the other. Paul didn’t teach Trinity, but he taught Jesus has the power of God, as all the prophets did.

Even though the Quran wasn’t handed to humans directly by God, it came through Mohammed, so you trust Mohammed’s word same as you would God’s, right? Same thing with Jesus.

Jesus may not be born a God, but you better treat him as you would God and obey what he says, since God gave him that authority as Messiah and king of the world. That’s the idea here.

Don’t be silly, planten. If you only have the Gospels, you don’t have the whole New testament! It’s all the Word of God, not just the Gospels and the Old Testament including the Deuterocanonical books. Moreover, I already told you about the Acts of the Apostles as having been written by the same author as the Gospel according to Luke. I am not making this up! And just because Jesus didn’t predict the conversion of Paul it’s not a proof that it never happened! Did Jesus predict that Thomas would not believe those who told him Jesus was risen from the dead and that when showing himself to him then he would believe? Your argument is no valid proof at all. What God calls clean, don’t call it unclean, my friend! Be really careful about this!

And moreover, planten, did you never notice at the end of the Gospel according to Matthew, that Jesus sends his Apostles: “Go, make disciples of all nations. BAPTIZE THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.” (Mt 28,19) What’s this, tell me? That’s the Holy Trinity right in this verse! Haven’t you ever read it before? That’s not in the letters of Paul, that’s in the Gospels.

And when we Catholics do the sign of the cross on us, we say, “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit. Amen.” In the name. Not the names…

There is logic here.

I have no objection to honoring Jesus. I respect all his commands and advices. But I do not see anything good in paul and Peter. Not only the conversion was a hoax but it was not true at all. paul did not come forward during the time of Jesus.

Jesus did not tell any one that paul the enemy will convert and be a great disciple. Jesus did not tell that in his life time. When Jesus went away and it is said that Jesus appeared to paul when on the road to Damascus, okay, let us believe it. But Jesus never appeared to any of the actual disciples to tell them that paul had converted and that I have chosen him and guided him. Jesus should have appeared to some one and authenticated the all important news of the conversion of paul.

I have no objection to anything about Jesus. I have no objection to anything of his apostles if they teach the same thing as Jesus was teaching. But if any disciple will start something opposite to the teachings of Jesus then I am not bound to believe that person.

Samething is about Muhammad. If any of his companion tries to teach something different to what Muhammad had been teaching then I won’t follow him.

Jesus came to help people repent and do the right thing.

Matthew 9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
But Jesus never appeared to any of the actual disciples to tell them that paul had converted and that I have chosen him and guided him. Jesus should have appeared to some one and authenticated the all important news of the conversion of paul.
Ananias was told about Paul. Ananias thought Paul was evil but he was told Paul converted.

Acts 9:13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:

Acts 9:15-16 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.

He did teach the same thing. You should name something specific you think Paul taught different and let’s examine it.

Im going to revive this thread to the first page since we havent gotten any opposing responses in the past few posts.

I would like to hear how Muslims interperate this writing of St. Paul’s… Galatians 1:6-10

*6I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned! 10Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ. *

I would assume Muslims reject Paul partly because of the above text, since it would clearly imply that what Muhammed preached was false.
That is so true when I read it I automatic thought of the of the muslims writings

What makes you say it was a hoax, planten? It’s a grave thing to say, so you had better have real good reasons, otherwise you might be spreading somebody else’s calumny and I don’t think you would please the true Allah in doing so. You also say you don’t see any good in Peter either. On what ground?

I realise, planten, that you write “Peter” with a capital P, and “paul” with a small “p”… Since you don’t “see any good” in neither, why is it?

I only write your name with a small “p”, planten, because you put it without a capital letter. We usually write first and last names in capital letters. Don’t you?

Yes, that seems to be noteworthy. I don’t know what I should do about them. Perhaps it is the first time that wrote about peter. What would you like that I do about them in future please?

Hi

It is Word of GodAllahYHWH in Quran; and other scriptures of all revealed religions of the world, if these don’t state anything contradictory to Quran.

[98:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
[98:2] Those, who disbelieve from among the People of the Book and the idolaters, would not desist from disbelief until there should come to them the clear evidence -
**[98:3] A Messenger from Allah, reciting unto them the pure Scriptures, **
**[98:4] Wherein are lasting commandments. **
[98:5] And those to whom the Book was given did not become divided until after clear evidence had come to them.
[98:6] And they were not commanded but to serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience, and being upright, and to observe Prayer and pay the Zakat. And that is the right religion.

So if all the religions previous to Islam corrupted the scriptures how are you so sure that the quran is not corrupted with false teachings? Because Muhamed said so? Joseph Smith said that God spoke through him and he is not muslim. He wrote his own holy book just like Muhamed. You claim the bible was corrupted. Who is to claim that the quran is not?

There might be individuals out there that do not - but yes, most ‘moderates’ do decieve us by telling us what we want to hear about islam. They know that there are many ignorant ones out there, many who just cannot believe that a religion could be so violent and that a prophet could be so disgusting - they ignore the actions of muslims around this globe actively carrying on jihad (murdering, torturing and enslaving) non-muslims around this globe.

I will give all this website so maybe they can wake up to what islam is all about to all non-muslims:

thereligionofpeace.com/index.html#Attacks

Then maybe they might want to crack open some books on its violent history! jihadwatch.org is also a good place to stay updated on muslim’s jihad against us. There are other websites that CAIR hasn’t been able to shut down.
that website is brutal it seems that their god is a god of war not love

So if all the religions previous to Islam corrupted the scriptures how are you so sure that the quran is not corrupted with false teachings?
Who is to claim that the quran is not?
Hi

It is very easy to verify. There are no two Qurans in the world with two different texts.

Even if all written Qurans are, Godforbid, destroyed or burnt, there are thousands of persons in different regions of the world who have learnt it by heart; it would be immediately written down from memory with no change in the text.

Visit any mosque near your home, please, take along a copy of ArabicQuran with you, ask them for a Hafiz or Qari , and then ask him to recite it, and verify it with the one with you. It would be ditto the same.

Thanks

This thread has gone on for a while and I do not remember any specific claims about Paul that were different than Jesus. I know of some that Paul had that were different than Mohammid. Could someone please point out some so we may discuss them?

I must also say that there is something that bothers me about the claim that because Paul converted he is disqualified as a teacher of the faith. Does this mean that anyone who converted to Islam is not a true adherent and does not need to be learned from? In America there is a saying: what is good for the goose is good for the gander. If we throw out Paul because he converted, then true Islam died with Mohammid.

That’s not the truth my friend, sorry!

You probably imply that the alleged distortion of the NT can be proven through the existence of four different Gospels, but no way! In order to use the number of Gospels against their authenticity, you have to accept from start that early Christian communities were obliged to have one certain Gospel as their Sacred Scripture. No such claim is supported in Christianity. Since the Gospel is totally different from the Koran in form, you cannot expect it to be present in one single book.

Besides, the number (4) of Gospels does not indicate one text’s distortion at the expense of another since four Gospels exist at the same time independently yet harmoniously. Thus, one text does not replace another, but only supports and completes it.

Your Scripture has similar problems because it is impossible to historically and scientifically prove that today’s Koran was confirmed (sealed or signed) by Mohammed himself, who could not hold the Koran as a book in his hand due to his death. More, Muslim clerics and scholars admit that the Koran text prior to Uthman’s period is not accessible. In short, we cannot know for sure if Omar or Abu Bakr had ever tampered with the Koran after Mohammad’s departure 😉

Finally, I have hard evidence to show that the people reciting the so-called divine verses from Allah failed to preserve them correctly because they either suffered from short memory or did not hear the same verses at the same time as some others. Compare the following verses about Solomon and his workers to see how some scribes reciting the Koran did not study their lessons well and eventually brought about awkward repetitions:

Surah 38 36. So We made the wind subservient unto him, setting fair by his command whithersoever he intended.
37. And the unruly, every builder and diver (made We subservient), 38. And others linked together in chains.

These verses only imply that it was the jinns that served Solomon in his kingdom through Allah’s permission.

Surah 21 81. And unto Solomon (We subdued) the wind in its raging. It set by his command toward the land which We had blessed. And of everything We are Aware. 82. And of the evil ones (subdued We unto him) some who dived (for pearls) for him and did other work, and We were warders unto them.

This is the slightly perverted version of the original story in chapter 34 indeed. The man or scribe who was asked to memorize and recite these verses failed to remember what jinns did in addition to diving, and tried to fill in the blank in his mind with the vague phrase “other work”. More than that, he used the adjectival phrase “evil ones” instead of “certain jinns” or “the unruly”.

Actually, these different versions of the same story were derived from the accidental perversion of the original verses below:
Surah 34 12. And unto Solomon (We gave) the wind, whereof the morning course was a month’s journey and the evening course a month’s journey, and We caused the fount of copper to gush forth for him, and (We gave him) **certain of the jinn **who worked before him by permission of his Lord. And such of them as deviated from Our command, them We caused to taste the punishment of flaming Fire. 13. They made for him what he willed: synagogues and statues, basins like wells and boilers built into the ground. Give thanks, O House of David! Few of My bondmen are thankful.

Apparently, this was the original version of Solomon’s story since it explicitly stated who was made to serve Solomon and managed to give a list of the things those labourers did. Nevertheless, this scribe did not say the jinns were divers although other scribes relating the same story in chapter 21 and 38 most likely reached the mistaken conclusion that the act of diving could be attributed to jinns on the basis of their constructing basins like wells.

Peace,

Angelos N. B.
