Why is Pope Pius V a saint? He ordered protestants to be executed and banished the jews. How could have the Church allowed his canonization?

You need to learn one thing about the study of history, if no other: You cannot judge past events by modern standards. Judging historical individuals by modern religious, ethical or legal standards leads to revisionism…A sin that is even greater than plagerism in academic circles.

Hebraeorum gens (“The Jewish Race”) 1569, of Saint Pius V, which expelled Jews from some of the Papal states, began with these words:

“The Jewish people fell from the heights because of their faithlessness and condemned their Redeemer to a shameful death. Their godlessness has assumed such forms that, for the salvation of our own people, it becomes necessary to prevent their disease. Besides usury, through which Jews everywhere have sucked dry the property of impoverished Christians, they are accomplices of thieves and robbers; and the most damaging aspect of the matter is that they allure the unsuspecting through magical incantations, superstition, and witchcraft to the Synagogue of Satan and boast of being able to predict the future. Thank you, I see the OP changed his wording of the question, though I still hoped someone would substantiate this claim.

As to the claim regarding protestants and their execution, is there anything to substantiate that?

I still hold Pius V as a strong bulwark of the Catholic Faith who led a saintly life founded on heroic Christian morality.

Because we can prove that he died in a state of grace. Doesn’t mean he did not sin during his life. I mean St. Augustine was a fornicator, and indeed struggled with that temptation all his life. Hippolytus actually for a while was an antipope. Yet they are raised to the altars.
