MontChevalier, I suggest that you buy a two volume set called
Modern Siants: their lives and faces by Ann Ball. You can buy them off TAN books, I own them and you don’t know just how many times I’ve read them. You can buy them here: tanbooks.com/index.php/Modern-Saints-Book-2
Speaking of the saints (and beati, and venerables, and people known for their holiness), I always search and read about those saints who were the most devoted to the Blessed Virgin. They are my favorites and without a doubt the holiest saints there are. Saint Therese, Saint John Bosco, Saint Dominic Savio, Pope Pius IX, Pope Leo XIII, Pauline Jaricot, the Cure of Ars, Saint Aloysius Gonzaga, Saint Maria Goretti, Jacinta and Francesco Marto and their cousin Lucia Santos, Saint Catherine laboure, Elizabeth Ann Seton, Siant Bernadette Soubirous… man, I must stop or else I’d be going on forever! Oh, and theres Saint Louis de Montfort, Garrigou Lagrange, Siant Anthony Mary Claret, Giuseppi Moscati, Saint Anthony of Padua, Saint Anselm, Saint…

In fact, just the other day (on Good Friday) me and my dad spke to each other about the Blessed Virign Mary and he said that when a sinner wants to change his lif eor convert, who does he go to? He does not pray tot he saints ebcause he doesn’t know alot aobut them; he doesn’t even go to God because he fears that God will punish him; he goes and prays to the Blessed Virign to help him convert and make him a saint because deep in his heart he knows that She, who is the Mother of Mercy will not reject him but will welcome him with love and lead him to God.
I suggest reading True Devotion to Mary, I really do. You’ll never find a better book for your spiritual life.
